Was really disappointed that the new ownership made no effort to have things ready for Memorial Day weekend. If you’re reading any reviews older than a month or so it’s from the previous owners who really made an effort to keep things in top of the line shape. The pool was green, the bait shop and firewood station was destroyed and empty, the mining area was overgrown and not functioning, none of the patio furniture was cleaned or had the cushions brought out, none of the outdoor games were brought out and none of the hammocks were setup. I know that Sulphur has been getting slammed by bad weather, but I still don’t see how that would keep them from at least putting forth some kind of effort to have the place ready. I spoke with multiple people who called ahead and was told the pool was functioning. We certainly were not warmed that it would be closed. Of course they will not give you a refund only a camp credit. We usually camp her around 5 times a year. I really hope this isn’t the direction this park is going in. If you don’t make any effort for the busiest camping day of the summer I don’t see you making it...
Read moreHighly recommend! We truly loved Sulphur, Oklahoma and our stay at Arbuckle RV resort! We stayed for two weeks. The park is well preserved, clean, and has lots of space to walk, play, and chill! Spots are gravel, large, and flat. Full hookups. Laundry room was clean and had working machines. Staff super friendly and always available to help when needed.
Resort has a pool, ninja warrior camp for kids, dog run area, dog walk area, two ponds, lots of trees, grass, and playground area for kids. Also has a laundry facility.
Resort is just 3 miles from Chickasaw National Recreational Area and about 30 minutes from Lake Murray. Lake Arbuckle is nearby and has lots of picnic areas. Walmart is less than a mile from camp. Lots to do and see in area.
The only con is WiFi is not that great. My husband works from home and it was challenging to do so at times. Cannot stream, upload or download easily.... especially on weekends when park is full. We usually stay at parks with better Wifi however, this park was worth the sacrifice. Definitely hope to...
Read moreI would use the word "Resort" very loosely. No TV (unless I suspect you have an ancient analog TV because our 2 new TVs can't find any stations after 7 scan attempts), pathetic wi-fi (we're next to the office with only a few tenants in the "resort" yet barely any reception let alone bandwidth) and despite booking online a few days ago the old chap manning reception had no record of us arriving. Luckily being off-season they aren't booked out. I know purists will say "you're camping. Turn off the TV" but in this freezing winter weather it's too cold to go outside of a night so little else to do.||The showers and toilets are closed for winter as is the pool (don't deny that in this weather only a fool would want to swim). Dusty, road and gravel pads.||The wife is happy with the laundry. That's a plus. Location is OK on the outskirts of Sulphur and across the road from Chickasaw Cultural Centre.||I will try to enjoy this next 4 days in this "resort". Luckily the area seems to have a lot to offer so we won't have to do much other...
