Just spent a long weekend at this RV Park. If you are looking for affordable, solitude & quiet this place is it. It has a long gravel drive and we did have to put our truck into 4 wheel drive to make one incline. But the park has two really nice play sets, a nice pavilion with picnic tables and grill to use. Each site is full hookup with picnic table and fire pit. Some comments mentioned a bathroom and cold shower but there is NO bathroom or shower. We looked around the entire site and there is only the pavilion with locked office. Which was fine, it is full hookup. We only paid $45 a night and it was a huge value for what all we got. The owner I spoke with a few times due to booking questions was extremely helpful and gracious. We only saw a few other sites width people in and out. Never spoke to another soul while there. Had a very friendly fat small beagle? type dog which came over to visit several times a day. My dog loved it. A lot to do in the area. My son and daughter-in-law came up to go out on the lake with us and it was no issue having them come to the campground. There is a nice pond with a platform with table and swing above the pond. Truly great place. Highly...
Read moreI would give six stars if I could! This is a verry quiet campground. Picnic tables and fire pits for each site and they are well spaced. Full hookups as well as firewood available for purchase. Covered group area with barbecue grills as well.
Acres and acres for you and your dog to hike and explore. Catch and release fishing pond and playground.
There are two entrances, One is steep and one isn't. Be sure and ask for directions to the non-steep entrance when you make your reservations if you have a larger rig.
They also have tent sites and storage. The fall foliage was absolutely gorgeous. Just a few minutes away from New River Gorge National Park and plenty of outdoor activities.
Although there is no staff on site, or showers, they do regularly check on the facilities and there are restrooms. Extremely clean and well kept campground. They have decks with rocking chairs by the pond and tree swings as well.
No road noise and secluded but literally 5 minutes from the freeway and stores. Be sure and stay here as you will not be disappointed. Best night sleep I've ever had. I would love to stay here...
Read moreThis park is a little unorthodox in the sence that there is no check in building or office but no biggie, just text the host. The park is setup super easy so really no need for explanation. There are 2 entrances and Google maps will bring you to one with a large red sign and a long dirt road/driveway, the only thing I can say kinda bad is the driveway is pretty long, bout a half mile and there is a house on the right side of it and you almost question if its the right place or private property, an extra sign or 2 that says the name of the place "just go straight" would help lol but again, no biggie. The campground itself is beautifully maintained, grass always mowed, playground in perfect shape, all utilities worked as should and everyone very friendly, we stayed for 7 nights and it was quiet as could be. The nice part about the long road is you get very little road noise back there. We really did have a great time and a bonus is there's a super sweet and super friendly with everyone dog that runs about named daisy. She was great, id go back just...
