I grew up going to this campsite and I still try to go every year, it was one of my favorite places!! It is the perfect location, we always float from Akers Ferry to Round Springs and it was always so nice to end at our campsite and not have to wait for drivers to pick us up. The facilities have always been well maintained, the bathroom and shower are pretty nice for a campsite. The campground is rocky so definitely bring a sleeping pad or air mattress if you’re in a tent. The raccoons are also really bad here and can get into anything you leave outside your tent so make sure to lock up food and trash in your car before bed!! Also, kinda disappointing but no hammocks are allowed.

Been visiting the spring for a couple of decades now. Always as beautiful as the first time I've seen it. However, PLEASE make sure to keep your litter away from the water and grass/ wooded areas. Also please do not enter the spring or disturb surrounding vegetation. I did see a frisbee in the water of the spillway of the spring and I wanted so bad to remove it so everyone can enjoy the pure beauty of what it is. Hopefully park staff can remove the eye sore.

The river and proximity to the rental outfits is great. Bathrooms are fine. Showers work. Clean. Only minor issue is the sites are quite rocky if tent camping.

This place is awful. The campsites are all hilly and rocky, the camp host is an absolute jerk, and it's so crowded and close together it feels like you may as well be camping in downtown STL. We rented two sites next to each other and one site was so hilly and full of tree roots we ended up putting 3 of our 4 tents in one of the sites. When the camp host came to tell us to move we politely explained why we had 3 tents on one site, and he ended up calling the Forest Ranger to make us move. Mind you, right next to us there was a Boy Scout pack with 7 tents on one site that he didn't make move. His explanation? They have two sites. So, it's okay for THEM to have more than two tents in THEIR site but not us? Ok... And after that he consistently harassed us the entire weekend, even when we were down at the river. The shower house is also disgusting, with black mold and dirt all over the sinks, the toilets were filthy and there were only two showers and two bathrooms for the whole camp. We'd never go back here even if it was the last place on earth and someone tried to pay us...

Basic, nice and quiet smaller campground within Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Convenient location for exploring the area by land or river. ||||The campsites can vary greatly. There are some good ones but many are rather sloped. Do a bit of research to find one that will work best for you and your equipment.||||You can grab a map and other National Park information at the ranger station, including Junior Ranger booklets. Also check the schedule for any programs happening at the amphitheater during your stay, my daughter loved attending them.||||The bathhouse was nice and stayed pretty clean during our trip. I really liked the individual shower rooms and wish more places were set up like this. It's very easy for families with kids that still need some help with showering.||||Round Spring is definitely worth checking out. There's a small paved trail that leads around to it. We didn't have time to tour Round Spring Cave but it is located near the spring and tickets can be purchased at the ranger station. It is certainly on our agenda...

This campground is a great place to camp. It has tons of shaded areas. Each camp spot has a table, fire ring, and a trash pole. The bathrooms are clean, probably one of the cleanist of camp bathrooms. Showers are available on the backside of the restrooms. The campground has easy access to the Current River. Carr's Canoe Rental is just right down the road if you didn't bring your own. The best part of this campground are the campground hosts. They are so nice, helpful, and full of knowledge. We met a couple of the rangers and they were nice too. We attended a park ranger program that they have in the pm and it was full of information. We went in May so it was still a little cool. We didn't have problems with too many bugs but I can see in the summer you will need lots of your bug/tick spray. Highly...
