Soda Creek Campground — Hotel in Sunriver

Lovely little campsite. Quick trip from Bend and beautiful vistas of Broken Top and South Sister. Sweet little creek is across the road from the campsites. Because there are only 6 sites here, it is very quiet. We stayed in site 1, and although it is the closest to the road, there is very little traffic after dark and it's not too noisy. Amazingly scenic campsite. LOTS of mosquitoes early in the summer, and it gets fairly cold. Great access to nearby trails, and a perfect place to camp if you’re hiking south sister. The layouts of each individual campsite are slightly confusing and not great bathrooms are another drawback. Wake up early to see the beautiful alpenglow on south sister...

We arrived late night and for lucky the first come first serve site was open. There is a beautiful stream on the campground, full of ducks. The spot is surrounded by mountains. The location is on the Cascades Lakes Scenic Byway which doesn’t disturb the quietness...
