Taylorsville Motel — Hotel in Taylorsville

Well, for less than $60 a night I am not sure what I expected exactly but it was definitely more than what I got. THERE ARE ROACHES HERE, so be aware of that. The over head lights in our room did not work, nor did a couple of the outlets in the room. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom and honestly, the bathroom area looked a lot like a county jail or prison. The bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were stained and very worn out. Also, when I arrived there was people, I’m assuming that was also staying here, outside yelling and fighting, this was very late at night or early morning, whichever you consider 3am to be. Don't book a room here OMG upon arriving they have a piss stained set of mattresses located right at the main entrance. Our first thought was bed bugs. Note the people at the Emerald Hollow mine stated You do not want to stay at this hole in the wall. You don't want what they have to offer. Ugh 😩😩😩😩😩😩 yuck nasty we didn't even roll down the window upon arrival here we sat in the hotel parking lot and called the Koa Campground 20 miles away and reserved a campground site. The Koa campground was clean and fresh. and had a beautiful pool . Koa campground cost us $46. Note not a good sign when you see a pissed stained mattress at the main entrance to a hotel . I was caught in a rain storm on my motorcycle at the end of the day. Wanted to make it to Wilkesboro and get a room there, but the rain really wouldn’t stop. Came here because I was less than two moles away camped under the roof of a bank drive through and asked to see the room first. The room was fine, and it was only $70.00 with tax. It was clean.
