After a long stressful day of driving for my no good trucking company their box truck transmission went out on me in the middle of the road literally I was left here in Tazewell Tennessee with no ride to get no where I called my no good trucking company and they stated someone would come tow the truck well they never showed up so I took my own personal money to have the truck moved out the road since they didn’t want to pay for it which is sad cause that shouldn’t have been my responsibility to cover that fee however Trucking company agreed to cover room fees if I was able to get to one. So I decided to walk to the three nearest hotel available here and out of three no one had rooms available at the time. But After standing outside on the side of the road for about 30 mins tying to figure out where I was gonna sleep n how I was gonna eat until morning Mr Patrick came out and offered me a ride to get something eat I agree cause I was hungry. I told Mr Patrick my story and what I was doing up this way cause I’m from Ga. Mr Patrick offer me a room just for a few hours since the trucking company didn’t wanna pay for a uber to the Knoxville and they recommended that I sleep in the box truck over night.. I know it wasn’t nobody but GOD that moved him cause he was booked but he made a way for me to sleep and eat tonight and I can’t think Mr. Patrick enough cause he didn’t have to go out his way tonight but he did and I’m thanking GOD for Mr.Patrick heart being in the right place tonight for sure he cleaned up a used room and gave me clean sheets n towels to use he even gave me two bottles of water I was in tears cause out of no where this blessing came I’m forever grateful thank u once again Mr. Patrick I highly recommend if your here in Tazewell Tennessee get a room at Tazewell Motor Lodge Mr.Patrick is the best and his customer service is outstanding I appreciate everything the clean room the clean shower...
Read moreConstance Greenlee 2/5 a week ago on Google Traveled to area to define area we wished to retire. Stayed here 2 evening. While room was large and seemed clean we were disappointed internet never did work and that was essential to us searching for real estate. We left and traveled on for 2 more evenings only to realize Tazwell was where we chose to be. So we regrouped and returned for 2 more evenings to deepen our search. Again internet never did work. We were put in same room as previously in and guess what, the napkin I had used was still there. Was the room not actually cleaned? To add to it the 2rooms next to us had appx 10 people attending a reunion. 1 am loud as can be out in front of rooms drinking and the smoke smell penetrated our room. I attempted to call front desk to see if we could ask manager to have them simply quiet it down a bit. Apparently they do not answer phones after some hours. So dealt with it best we could. In checking out I mentioned this issue and was told " oh they are older it's ok". I said older or not the more they drank the louder they got and I understand they did smoke outside per rules". He stated it's a group there for a reunion. I said , again 1 am was far too late for being that loud and perhaps leave rooms between them and others as a common courtesy. Let me add there was a huge gazebo off the parking lot they could have enjoyed instead of carrying on at our door. He smiled and blew me off. If only he had as much courtesy for travelers who had stayed there 5 nights and paid so much with no out any amenities needed yet still chose to stay there. That lack of respect is why I...
Read moreThe staff is really wonderful and welcoming. We got in late around 1am for an overnight stay. We were in the area for a graduate school interview the next morning in the area. The Motor Lodge, itself, is just a few minutes passed town, it's right off the highway so you can hear cars passing by, but other than that it is very quiet. They don't allow locals within 50 miles to stay unless it's due to an emergency which is nice because you know there won't be any parties and such going on. There is no smoking in any of the rooms so you don't have to worry about any of the rooms smelling like stale smoke. The gentleman at the desk upgraded us from a single queen bed to a king room for no extra cost since they had the space available. The room was extremely clean, fresh smelling, clean linen and towels, great water pressure, had a mini fridge and a microwave, anything a bigger more expensive hotel might have they also had. When I checked out the morning desk man asked if I wanted any coffee or if I needed anything else. Also, the overnight desk man, again was extremely nice. He gave us great directions for our trip to the campus the next morning. I believe it's a family owned place which adds to its personable atmosphere. Literally the only negative thing I can say about this place is that there were only 2 pillows and they were a bit flat and hard. Other than that, I have nothing but praise to give for this place. I would highly recommend it for an overnight or...
