Campsites have a good size and the lake is pretty but the wind is insane. It makes camping uncomfortable, even to cook it was hassle. We had to eat inside the tent or the car because other wise the food would fly away from the wind. This is not a good place for tent camping. Good for RV, terrible for tents. The garbage bins was a graveyard for tents. The wind was so strong that the roof of it would come all the way down to our faces and then pop back up. Sad to say that even after parking our car on one side to block the wind little, our tent suffered several rips. The wind would change directions several times making it hard to position the tent in way that would make things better. Also there’s a really bad smell. Don’t know where it comes from. Even with all of that after being locked inside our home for 2+ months it was good to spend the weekend outdoors and have the kids run around and roll in the dirt. The campground should have a disclaimer about the wind for tent campers. I lost count of all the people that left their tents in the...

Long time camper/ traveler here. This campground has been empty every time we drove by but we decided to give it a shot. The spots were decent sized with shady trees. But, we got grilled about the rules and had to go through a setup process that took quite a while. The lady even went as far as saying she could give my friend a citation on his bike for having expired paper dealer plates( even though he had the bike registered). There was black widow spider inside the women's toilet.....SKETCHY! Lady said if she caught our dog off leash we would get a 1400$ fine. Also if we used any glass bottles we would be fined. It all in all seemed rather silly as we were the only group in the campground. Rules are rules I get it. But I dont go camping to get grilled buy the camp host for 30 minutes. We are adults and can handle our animals and trash. Won't be...

My friends and I camped there about a year ago. The place looked beautiful. We were so close to the water. We set up our campsite and unpacked everything. As soon as we begun to make dinner it started to get windy. It was so windy it took us about 3 hours to cook our food. No joke. Then after eating and hanging out by the fire we all decided to head back to our tents. On the short walk from our fire to the tents we were swarmed by giant cockroaches. They were everywhere! It was the most disgusting thing ever! We spoke with the campground host the next morning and found out that this campsite is more often than not extremely windy. We packed up our stuff and moved to another campground. We will never go back to Paradise Cove.

Highly recommend Pioneer Point campground at Lake Isabella....

Beautiful area to camp. Stopped and drove around to see the camp host ( ranger) paid cash for our spot and parked. The Ranger / host said he would be over with the paperwork for the RV site later. He never showed up so kind of thought that was strange being there were only 3 campers the entire night. The place was beautiful but very cold especially at night but was nice. Didn’t really get a chance to go out and do much exploring. The bathrooms seemed n nice and clean no showers or laundry available. We would definitely stay again if passing through.

I didn’t stay here, but I did come here 3 or 4 times to fill up water and once to dump my RV sewage. The first camp host charged $12 to dump and the next one said it was free. Water was always free. Most water spouts are not threaded, but the one next to the camp host is, so you can use this to filter your water. Just ask the camp host permission before doing so. Otherwise if you stay here, it’s over $30/night which does include water (no hookup) and dumping and access to restrooms
