CeeCee Penington 1/5 11 minutes ago on Google We really tried because the owners are older and we are from here. The service is great, but the food was horrible. First, the tossed salad is table side, made from limp lettuce. They "toss" it table side straight out of the 80s complete with hard gross bacon bits out of a jar. The Prime Rib was grey when cooked which means it was frozen when cooked, and boiled in its liquid. I had the sweet potato, which was boiled in its "jacket." Disgusting. Even in my own home, Sweet potatoes are always baked. The forgotten tequila in my Bloody Mary, which was later brought in a shot glass was forgivable, but the Rice my husband ordered tasted of plastic packaging. Nothing was fresh. Nothing tasted real. So very sad and disappointing. We paid for our drinks that I am not even sure has alcohol in them. 43.00 for drinks, and tip for the sweet waitress, who is worth much more than being stuck in this excruciatingly disappointing and antiquated "restaurant." Edit-in response dont lie and say we have been here before. This was our first and LAST time. I dont care where you get your beef, as you have done it a great disservice. It should not be Gray, mushy, and flavorless. I will not eat cheap bacon bits out of a jar, nor a boxed rice mix that ks rubbery and plastic tasting. Everything should be fresh and vibrant. If I wanted a boxed rice I would buy Rice A Roni from the store. People dont go out to spend money on pre packaged junk. We go out to have a nice fresh meal. Its not our fault this is what you are serving, and this is an absolute...
Read moreBooked over the phone in advance, and was told we could arrive to check in anytime from 1.30pm. |Arrived after this time in the afternoon and the place was completely deserted. Rang the bell several times, called the website number and the after-hours number, only to reach a machine. Looked around the property to try and find someone but couldn't locate anybody so just had to wait. |Eventually someone drove up and said he'd be up soon - didn't identify himself as staff until asked if he worked there. No apology for the amount of time we had waited. ||Not given Wifi password at check in either, so had to call the number back (again it wasn't answered the first try) to ask for the password. |Wifi was dropping in & out all evening. ||As it was a Monday the restaurant was closed, we only found this out by the sign hanging on the building - no information on the website about closure on these days, only that it is open to group bookings on these days (once I searched for this info). So come prepared with other food if you're staying here Mon or Tues. ||Rooms were spacious, beds good. Shower sprayed all over the place, and the coffee machine leaked when we tried to use it so pulled the plug out of the wall so the water didn't drip into the electrics. ||Unfortunately not a great experience for us, really poor customer service and left us with a pretty flat feeling about...
Read moreI've rated this place already online here or somewhere. Can't go wrong here, best place I've ever stayed at in California other than a specific place at the beach... Both places are in the running for 1st in my opinion in cleanliness, friendliness and convenience. It was summer time, hot, and senior graduation. Found an available room no problem! My autistic son was graduating high school and we didn't want to drive the hour and a half to the school, be there all day in the heat, then an hour and a half back home to where I was displaced (due to my house fire) so we decided to rent a room. Very reasonable price considering it's a vacation area, with a lake, during summer at graduation time where it gets upwards to 100°. After all said n done my son decided he just wants to go home. We let the office know we were going to go ahead n not stay, she discounted the room because we did go there prior to graduation to relax, cool down and rest to get ready. But what was going to be an easy $80 not refundable charge turned out to be a simple $40 charge for using the room plus inability to book it, which was terrific! They didn't have to do that! Beautiful rooms! Beautiful views around, convenient location and the Steak House attached SMELLED AWESOME!!! Next time we're eating there! Thanks for the...
