My sis and brother with their spouses came from New York and we decided to visit Paso Robles area. My wife and I were members of Venteaux Winery years ago and had remembered they had accommodations. So checking out their site we found the 'guest house'. Wowzers! A beautiful 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house with two living rooms and two dining areas as well as two outdoor sitting/eating areas.||We had spent the day touring a couple of local wineries- small. And ended the day at Venteaux. Coleen took excellent care of us. I really did lose count of what we tasted - but I do know we bought a few bottles! We did enjoy the blended wines as well as the Tache Le Verre - which really teased our pallets!||Back to the Guest House. The accommodations were wonderful for three couples. The master, of course, is a spacious room with a large bathroom attached. I like large showers with rain shower heads. The other two bedrooms were definitely adequate. My sis loved the 4 poster bed.||There are windows everywhere, so light and views are the order of life.||We BBQ'd salmon in the small court yard listening to the the sounds of the evening. No bug issues! A gentle breeze was in the air which made the evening even that much more special.||Ok. Enough. Let me end with, I've been to many countries and I've many yet to visit, but I look forward to...
Read moreWe stayed in Paso Robles for my wife's birthday and had booked the "Bombshell" for 2 nights. The room is very nicely decorated, lots of wood panelling which makes it feel very cosy and warm. The bathroom is modern and the products supplied very high quality.||||There is no real breakfast, but your minibar gets stacked with fresh things and you also get fresh bakery so you just take whatever you need and sit outside and enjoy the view over the vineyards.||||A wine tasting is included and this was very nice, we ended up buying a bottle of their lovely rose and spend the afternoon drinking on the patio in front of their tasting room, a great way to settle into the trip.||||What makes this place so unique is its location in the middle of the vineyards. As a consequence it is obviously totally quiet at night when you sit outside the studio and enjoy that free bottle of wine provided. ||||All in all, not a cheap place, but worth it if you are looking for that true country feeling, and the town center is only a $23...
Read moreSo very disappointed. Not friendly, welcoming nor family friendly. Being raised and from Paso I love brining my family here. Over the years We have gone to almost every winery in Paso and we always take our girls . It’s our tradition. No matter where we have gone we have always been welcomed and treated so lovely by eveyone at the different wineries. All the wineries have been so family friendly and cheerful and always welcoming and accommodating to our kids. . Except for today at this winery. From the moment we arrived it felt like the lady sitting people did not want us there. It was a Friday afternoon and there was only one other table there. The place was empty . She was not welcoming at all to us. She looked us up and down, and it felt like she was trying to get us to leave. We have never felt so dismissed or unwelcomed . Definitely not family friendly at all !!! She peered at my girls like they were not welcomed. So we opted to leave and go enjoy another Winery that was so gracious and...
