In response to the parks response… They are dishonest.

I travel to this area for business. I stayed in this park in 2022 without any issue. Upon returning this year, I went to their website to book an RV site for five nights. I found the website to be very difficult to navigate, appears that the park is either under new management or ownership. The website has RV site numbers and old RV site numbers, I thought since there were so many available sites on the online booking site that calling would be easier. I called and was given the runaround as though the park was completely full and they didn’t know if they had space or not for me. After being put on hold several times while driving pulling my RV, I pulled over and told the young lady I would just book it online. Upon arrival I was given a map that was also not very user-friendly and told to proceed to site number 44. Navigating through their park going into the area most of the sites were individually numbered, I found 44B, I didn’t see another 44 anywhere within any reasonable distance so I assumed because the other ones were not marked A or B but maybe it was just an old number because they have old numbers, new numbers, etc., as I explained. I got completely set up in the site unhitched the truck and went to open the stairs on my airstream trailer and stepped in a huge red ant pile. I called the office to ask if they could send a maintenance person to take care of these red ants. I also inquired about their sewer hook up because all of the sites were marked with the sticker that said “not operational” They then proceeded to tell me that all of them are operational except for site number 44 that I had booked online. I was told that I was in the wrong site and was going to need to move, the park was nearly empty. None of the other sites on the side of the road, not on the water, were occupied by anyone. I asked why I couldn’t just take that site and was told that they had a reservation guaranteed and the site was secured by an additional payment from the person arriving. On asking them which sites I could move to I found the two they offered me site 46 or 47. Site 46 was full of red ants so I chose 47. I can do a 30 amp or a 50 amp for my trailer to me it didn’t matter. When I told them I would take 47 due to the fact that 46 was infested with red ants they told me there would be an additional charge $53 at this point after having spent 40 minutes setting up and needing to breakdown and set up again, I was hot, sweaty, tired, frustrated and bitten by red ants I went ahead and took site 47 for the additional $53, no one ever came to treat red ants in addition to that no one ever checked into site 44B no one else was on that side of the road in that entire area of the park. No one else came in at all while I was there that I could see and I took several pictures to show that. In my opinion, the management and staff are very dishonest they were rude when I called. They were rude when I called to complain, obviously struggling financially and need to take additional money from me when I was nearly the only person in that side of the park. I would not recommend this park if you have another option, I’ve traveled extensively, visited all 50 states and made multiple reservations online, dealt with multiple parks and this overall was a very...

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never even made it to the park and have had the absolute worst customer service experience ever! I will never go to the park in person and warn everyone to never go! Spoke with Ryan who was an understanding individual who seemed to genuinely want to help. Dallas the manager however "wanted" to help but did not seem genuine about it and then Brad the GM who refused to call and can only relay messages through Dallas can only be described as how does he even sleep at night. I am in the process of putting together a US Army veterans memorial service whose ashes are being escorted from Colorado back home 3 months later. We just got his ashes released to family and his mom needs closer so we are doing his memorial the first weekend we can to put this all behind us. The vet is being escorted by other vets on motorcycles to bring him home and honor his memory. In my initial conversation and a second conversation I was told it is a holiday weekend so our prices are firm!?! Basically was told we want to make money this weekend so pay $10 a car and motorcycle. Nearly 1000 just to enter the park to spread ashes and a small memorial less than 3 hours time. I requested Brad call me after an email was sent saying that it did not matter, pricing would not be discounted or group rate for everyone. Brad never called me Dallas called back to tell me if we just changed all our plans to a different weekend Brad would be willing to offer a pricing discount. After a discussion Dallas called Brad back and then myself and offered $5 for the 1st 15 bikes and $10 per car. No group rate and on top of this we would not be able to park be where the memorial would be done. We would have to park "a ways" away from that location. I can see why a grieving mother was having a panic attack about how she would host her son's memorial service. By the customer service I received today.

** Yes I did loose it briefly when I was told that spreading the ashes was a worry for offending people. The ashes would not have been spread in a swim area. And yes I did loose it with someone else when I was told am email had been sent out that essentially said due to a holiday weekend that makes money nothing could be done. And an apology was given to the manager that I "yelled" at during our last conversation because it is not his fault he got stuck in the middle. My overall impression of the entire situation is as long as there is a chance to make more money that is the option that is the option going to be chosen by management. The "discount" that was offered was explained as the everyday price for veterans and service members 90% of our group would have been veterans or active service members. I asked multiple times for a group rate that I never received. Also I do not know many people who would not get offended or upset when someone tells them just choose any other weekend for a loved ones memorial service. But none the less I found a much nicer location with much better customer service and a GM that does not hide behind...

My family had a reunion recently at the bunkhouse. We had a hard time dealing with the overnight staff. They knew we had the maximum amount of people staying at the house (their max is listed as 20 people online). In response to our honest experience in our review, the business has berated our family for "not being prepared" when we weren't provided the basics as expected. We told them none of the bathrooms or rooms had any towels or toilet paper in them. There were NO garbage bags or paper towels. We did report it once we arrived because you would expect that 20 people staying for a weekend would need these items. The staff did respond and bring the supplies though we had to ask multiple times to get enough equipment. They also did not have a bbq grill even though we had requested one as other reviewers have reported as well.

Honestly, the issue came overnight the first night we were there. After one of the upstairs showers was used, the bedroom roof right below it started leaking and completely soaked the bed (linens, mattress, etc). We stopped using the shower right away and reported it. The employee who answered was with security and was very rude on the phone when we asked for extra linens to replace what was soaked. Without listening to what happened, he yelled at us and asked "what are you people doing?" And told us that "if you had done your checklist, you would know what you needed when you got there" and that he couldn't bring us anything. We tried to explain that we didn't need the linens if the roof hadn't leaked but he hung up on us instead. No one came to evaluate. We pulled the bed frame away, cleaned up the mess with towels, and flipped the mattress in order to have enough beds to sleep on. The next day someone came to check the roof but by then, everything was dry because we stopped using the shower. The manager offered to extend our checkout to make up for the rude, disrespectful, and discriminating service. The lake and activities were definitely enjoyable but staying here is not worth dealing with unprofessional people.

From what I can tell, the company responds to negative reviews by claiming that their clients were rude, yelling at staff, and demanding and that everything was provided as promised, so I will expect nothing less this time, but I want people debating renting the bunkhouse to be informed on the overpriced and unsatisfactory service they will be receiving when...

This is a great park. Will definitely keep on a short list when visiting this area. PRO - Plenty of space between campers, great water activities. CON - Hiking/biking trails could use a bit of attention. No Wifi (but should not be a negative if you are looking to disconnect). NEUTRAL - Did not use any public facilities but park is well maintained and would expect the facilities would be same. Cost was fair for this area and type of park on a weekend rate. We stayed in Site 37B. It is a FHS with picnic table and fire pit. Sites are big rig friendly but all sites are back in only. I have a 40 footer but saw several 45s. Full or Partial Hook Up – Both available. Dump station on site as well. Level Sites – Yes, and all are Concrete Sites. Did notice some sites where the front end sloped downward resulting in some front end wheel lifts when leveled. Not an issue in 37B. Shade Trees –Yes Fire Pits – Yes CONNECTIVITY Park Wifi - NONE in the park itself. OTA - Great Over the Air TV signal. Able to pick up all the majors in HD and several others as well (standard def) Cellular Strength Decent for both ATT and Verizon depending on where in the park you are.

Enjoyed camping here and would highly recommend it. This is a large, beautiful, well kept park area on a huge lake with acres of mowed green grass, trees, onsite gated boat/RV storage and a full service marina with bar and restaurant! The camping spots are well spaced, have cement pads to park your rig on, picnic tables, fire rings, water, most have sewer and up to 50amp service. All types of camping areas from tenting to motorcoach here. New rental cabins being built and should be available soon. Many people picnicking under shelters or trees w/picnic tables & grills or fishing off the shore for the day. The manager, Priscilla was very accommodating and truly committed to her job. The rest of her staff at the office, 24 hour gate, grounds crew and security reflected her same positive, caring attitude. Regular, around the clock security patrols keep a close eye on everything which is nice to know. The price is competitive, especially considering the location. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did!
