DONT STAY!!! Please look at the reviews. DONT TRUST THE PICTURES!! The pictures were edited or something. We thought the overall rating seemed fine at first, and there weren’t a lot of options to pick from. We knew it wasn’t going to be amazing, but didn’t expect this horror show. The view is beautiful, and has access to the beach which is the ONLY nice thing to say about it. Our room which was facing the beach was sooo sketchy. We felt like we were staying at the Bates Motel. The screen on the window was cut open. The blinds were broken so anyone could see into our room. The floor had white scratch marks all over. The walls were covered in dirt and grime. AC was broken and outdated. The room was so hot and stuffy because of it. The smoke alarm was also disconnected from the wires… The bathroom door had wood splintering off it which could seriously injure someone if not careful. The shower head was way lower than it should’ve been and was not made for anyone above 5’5. There was supposed to be guest wifi, but we weren’t given a password. The worst thing by far was that anyone could open our door if they tried!!! Even when locked, you just needed to push the door open to get in. Oh also there were bedbugs… Not to mention the box spring is on a really worn down frame and felt like it was gonna break just from sitting on the bed. Need I go on? Long story short, we didn’t even stay the night so we are out of 200~ dollars. Really disappointed in this place. I’d request a refund but from the reviews I’m not sure if they honor those. This review won’t let me post the bad pictures, maybe that’s why it only shows nice pictures of the rooms.

Edit: My claims are accurate, please see the reviews from other customers who have stayed at the inn and have also said similar things. I don’t think everyone here in the comments conspired together to make false statements. I can provide pictures as well. The door certainly can be pushed in when locked and I would happily provide the room number if you would like to give it a try. The room was under my husband’s last name so you will not see it under my name. If there isn’t AC, then why is there an AC unit attached on the wall? Kind of misleading, even if it mentioned no AC on the website. That may have been an error on our part, but I can assure you everything else was concerning enough. Lastly, it was after “office hours” and when we called the number and asked where we could leave our keys, management showed no concern as to why we didn’t want to stay overnight. We told them we decided to not stay due to the conditions of the room, but we will happily explain in thorough detail over...

The light over the sink is either burning out, or has a short in it, when turned on it would flicker and/or go out completely. The track for the sliding door was dirty, and filled with hair and dirt. The floor needed to be cleaned and mopped, as there was sand basically everywhere on the floor, and I had to use my small broom from my car to make it at least something I could tolerate. Two of the electric outlets are not safe to use, one of them has a broken faceplate, and another has no face plate at all. Totally unsafe! Plus the wall behind the door has a broken knob stop. These are just the small things that should have been fixed. I can honestly say it made me very unhappy and sad to have the room like that, as I have stayed in that room many times in the past few years, and never had a problem, but this time was not a happy stay. I did consider leaving and disputing the charges to my card, since I paid over $800 for the 4 days, and I feel like I paid way to much considering the condition. I know that work is being done on the Terimore, but a guest shouldn't have to deal with this type of situation regardless of the status of changes being made to update the rooms. I did try to reach out when I got there to speak to someone, but the office was closed, and all contact was by text messages.

After arriving home I did send an email and also a text message with the only response being a text message which said "Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry about the inconveniences this may have caused you. I will be letting upper management know of your experience, so that it can get passed along to the house keeping department. Thank you for...

I thought we were getting a great deal on a decent room, but ehhh, not quite. The view from our balcony and the beach access was really nice, but that was about it. The bed was super uncomfortable and was on wheels and NOT attached to the headboard, so it moved all over. (Imagine how that goes when being intimate.) Walls are very thin. You could hear everything from the other side of the wall and even those being loud on the balcony or fighting in their room a few doors down. Obviously, we didn't sleep well due to these factors. This place accepts pets and we heard a small, yappy dog in the rooms, which was quite annoying and a pair of unleashed golden retrievers staying at the hotel. I feel the hotel should be better about enforcing some kind of rules surrounding that, so it doesn't ruin others' vacation.

The TV didn't work. The woman who checked us in said they had an electric issue that day. (I personally feel they should have offered maybe a 5-10% refund for that.) The room was mostly clean. The floors could have been cleaner. There is a step up/down from balcony, but during the wetter months (most of the year) they could have something to wipe your feet/leave your wet shoes coming into the room and coming in/out of the balcony would help to keep the floors cleaner. In the shower, there was a body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispenser--only the conditioner had something in it. Thank goodness I had my own body wash.

I was hoping this could be our new place to come to on the coast for the fair price, but I can't overlook all the negative factors. If these issues were taken care of, I'd be willing to come back, but on my next trip to the coast, i will be trying someplace else. Such a shame with such a nice view and balcony; it has so...

The confirmation email of the reservation listed that the check in was between 4 to 7PM. When we arrived around 6PM to check in, the office was closed. I had to call a number left on the door and when I told the attendant what the email said about the opening time she said, "Well, I'm not." This already created a sense of not caring for the management. The room we stayed in was set up with a small kitchen. The dishes were wet, and we found maggots on sponge when we went to wash them, which is insane when one finds the note left that tenants will charged a $20 fee if dishes are left unwashed. A few of the towels had long hairs on them. Sand was all over the floor as well as collected around the shower's drain. The bed couch had dog hair all over it. No bedding provided for the couch bed despite our reservation having 2 adults and one teenage child. The couch bed also wasn't fully fixed. One of the window screen's was falling off. Out of order ice machine. The whole place just felt dirty. Thin walls. The next door tenants were easily heard. We stayed here in 2014 and none of the issues we experienced this time existed. For what it offers and how poorly upkept it is now, it is too expensive. The new management clearly doesn't care for the property, nor the local region. There used to be signs notifying tenants about baby seal lions and to leave them alone if encountered. All of these have been taken down.

The check-in experience set the tone for our stay. The receptionist wasn’t outright rude, but came across as unprofessional and short with us, which wasn’t the welcome we expected. Unfortunately, the room itself was much worse. The floors were so dirty that the bottoms of our socks turned black after walking around. Dust, rust, and broken fixtures were visible on the walls, dirt was built up in the corners, and there was noticeable mildew in the bathroom along with mold on some of the fixtures. The ceiling had a raw textured finish that had never been painted over, making the room feel unfinished and neglected. On top of that, the walls were paper-thin — we could clearly hear other guests, making it hard to relax. The towels provided were tiny, thin, and more like gym rags than proper hotel towels. The mattress was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever tried to sleep on — hard, lumpy, and impossible to get a good night’s rest. Even the amenities outside the room were disappointing. The stairs to the beach were broken down and in disrepair, making access unsafe, and the parking provided was inadequate for the number of guests staying there. Overall, this was one of the poorest hotel experiences I’ve ever had. With proper cleaning, maintenance, and attention to guest comfort, it could improve, but as it stands, I would not recommend staying here. We left very early the morning after we arrived.
