Best Western Inn at Blakeslee-Pocono — Hotel in Tobyhanna Township

I stayed here in October 2021, The check in process was fast and easy the receptionist at the front was very nice. The room I was in was clean and the breakfast was good being its a hotel breakfast. This was my first time at this Best Western hotel. I travel alot for work and stay in hotels often my fo to hotel if one around or inthe area are best westerns which alsways tteated me well with no issues, some of the Best westerns do nkt even charge for incidental's because i been there so many times and they know me and never have i had an issues before. I checked out the next day no issues and two days later i looked on my bank account and they charged for thr room and there was an additional charge for $1300.00 I went to bank to stop payment but as it was pending they couldn't stop it. So i called Best western and the lady I spoke with said they can not see no $1300.00 transaction so the bank said wait to see if it clears. The next day it did clear . I called that best western to see why they charged $1300 and originally thought it was a mistake they will refund me no big deal, was i wrong. The lady said we chatged tou for smoking which i do nkt even smoke , and for furniture a table and office chair and which she emailed me photos because i did not know what she was talking about. The lady at the front desk said someone spilled nail polish removal on the tabke and chair , I ask how do you no its nail polish remover , she said she seen it done before and its looks the same. I said ok and revieved the photos, after lookibg at the photks i went back to the Best Western spoke with the lady and ask to see the chair and desk and she would not allow me to see them for what ever reason. I told her you ate chatging me $1300 for damaged items and i cant see the furniture? Anyways i couldnt see the damages. After i originally checked in my cousin came by with her 2 year old kid. She stayed awhike and I ask her zbout this if she painted her nails or used polish removal nd she said what are you talking about you were there the whole time why would i paint my nails or remove old polish when i was there. I said just checkibg because im being charged for these items showed her the picture ms and she said she didnt notice that. So my bank disputed it gave me the funds back until they investigated it and month past and i noticed they took the money back again. I called Best Western Headquarters and told them the situation. Forst they got the wromg Best western and called the one in another county and the one they contacted contacted me asking what going on why you say this happen here and it did not , and that they mew me because i stayed there alot of times prior, I said No No they got the wrong Best western. So 3 phone calls later they were looking into it and i called yesterday and they said charges will stand. I said why and they said they send photos 2 photks which i originally had but i ask how am i supposed to no where those photos come fron, why couldnt I see the furniture. And they chatged for smoking we do not even smoke cigarettes or weed pr anything for them to say such a thing. So overall 1 days stay cost $1300 plus the room rate , going to the bank and over 2 hrs wasted on the phone . As i stated to There headquarters how many times did i stay at one of your hotels and how many issues did I ever have No issues None! Stayed in 2021 alone over 70 times. I think its very unprofessional that they would nkt show me the damages after i went back up there another hour wasted doing so. If the damages were cause by me there is no issue paying the charges they applied but the person at the desk stated bail polish removal and then said smoking which we dont smoke sounded suspect. I will never stay at a Best western again ! I to own a business 2021 voted best Lehigh valley business. Other reviews with people having same issues as me. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes another 4 star given and you know I don't give out 4 stars not unless they absolutely deserve it. We started off at this hotel saying not sure whether or not it was going to be the best fit for us due to a few reviews that we saw. We got here and we were very much pleased of the outside first of all I have a thing for making certain there's a lot of space for handicapped parking and it was. I'm so happy to see that. Secondly once we entered we were greeted and it was a pleasant greeting by the wonderful Miss Nancy was very professional and personable. She is also a fan of basketball which I found out yes that means that we had been conversing. She was so interested in making certain I had an enjoyable stay she asked me every day I was doing and I responded in kind such a wonderful person to have greet you once you enter into the establishment. Best Western if you're reading this please if you do not take care of Nancy you will lose out greatly. She is a professional to the T.I did not get the name of the gentleman who made sure the breakfast was on point every morning he greeted me every morning as a matter of fact he even greeted me approximately two times come to think about it and one day. Which was fine. He made certain that the food was hot ready and those items that were meant to be cold were cold and he made sure that the coffee never went empty. Absolutely wonderfully done. I did not get the name of the housekeeper but she was willing to help and clean my room on the day that I didn't need cleaning but why work someone and when it's not necessary? So friendly and a delight to be around. I must say the staff makes the difference as to your travel. I can't say enough about them. Moving on however the room was very nicely kept it was clean and I had no complaints whatsoever. The air conditioner was working properly and every day every day every day may I repeat this again every day that I left my room to go outside I was greeted and I also took a lollipop because they had lollipops and candies at the desk. I don't have a sweet tooth but for some reason the lollipop called Dum dums or one of my favorites so I had to catch them why they had them. The grounds were properly maintained there was no litter spread out around the area. This is not my first time at this hotel however when I came before I did not have the same experience but we're talking years ago so the upgrade is very much appreciated. I will return approximately next year. The only reason why I cannot give a five-star is because there's always room for improvement and the improvement does not come for the staff it does not come for the food it does not come for the cleanliness it comes because of the price. The price is way too high and yes I've compared to other places in the neighborhood and this place was a bit pricey especially for the season. I checked in during the middle of the week and the price was just too high. I would have canceled had I thought to do so in time but I didn't. I'm glad it took place the way it did because I got a chance to meet a great staff and if I can get a discount the next time around I will definitely come back. Good evening Google Family. My very first time visiting this location of Best Western. I asked for a senior discount here. It was itemized on Google and I received it. Abby was the young lady employee who assisted me today with my accommodation. Abby was so polite, friendly and efficient. She truly knew her job. She told me that they had a pool and sauna and a continental breakfast in the morning from 7 am to 10 am. Check out time is 12 noon. Abby signed me up for Best Western rewards and provided me with a blanket when I asked for one. I loved that they had the apparatus to transport your respective items to your room. My room number is 326. I was able to load my items on the apparatus and transport them to my room, 326. This was a quick process. I fell in love with the room. Such a major difference from my lousy experience with Days Inn in Tannersville. Best Western is larger on the inside than the Days Inn that I stayed in, located in Tannersville. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, TV with remote, coffee maker with decaf and regular coffee, 2 beds, hair dryer in bathroom, iron and ironing board, tissues in bath and shower mat for bath. The difference in rooms here from Days Inn in Tannersville is like night and day. The room was well lighted and the air conditioning was on. The room was nice and cool. I cannot wait to take a shower and relax. It is certainly like home to me. I am having an awesome experience here. Best Western is my hotel of choice. I would stay here and other locations of Best Western again and again. The next time I go away I would stay at another Best Western. I have not travelled in years so I didn't know what hotel to book. I did not want to ask friends, I like to see for myself and decide for myself where to stay. That is how you learn. You make a mistake and you learn from them, Never to repeat that same mistake again. WE will make mistakes all of our lives, just hopefully not making that same mistake over and over again. I am having a great experience so far, Family and I am looking forward to my continental breakfast in the morning. I met Verene in the morning when I checked out and while I was eating my dynamite continental breakfast, who is an employee here. Verene was telling me she has been employed here for twenty five (25) years. Verene was so friendly, hospitable and simply delightful. I enjoyed conversing with her.

Update to the continental breakfast: it was all that. Pancakes that you can make yourself, breakfast potatoes, sausage links, orange and apple juice, coffee, decaf and regular, condiments: butter, ketchup, salt, pepper, sugar like splenda and equal. Fruit and all kinds of muffins. Also they had eggs. Clearly, this Best Western continental breakfast was superb!!! This is what a continental breakfast should look like. Also plenty of spaces for you to sit.
