Had high hopes, but overall it was a disappointment. Booked a king room in February, but was given a 2-Queen bed room on 2nd floor. Asked for a first floor because wife has a bad knee and uses a cane. The guest that checked in ahead of us was also given a 2nd floor room, but requested a 1st floor room which they promptly agreed to. There is no elevator on the premises. ||I specifically chose this hotel to stay for ONE night in Tombstone because we had a Tesla. The charger had been out of service for months. Zero information on the website, no signs, nothing. Honestly it appeared to be in fine shape, but had no power to it. Thankfully I planned ahead and charged in Tucson, or I would have been in trouble. ||I will say that the room was clean and the housekeeper (that brought us new room keys after I had returned to the front desk 3 times because they didn’t work) was very friendly and nice. The front desk lady was reasonably polite at first but when my wife expressed her frustration after I had to return to the front desk 3 times because the key cards wouldn’t work, she got defensive to the point of being rude. I am usually very understanding, but in hindsight the front desk agent was unprofessional. Once she figured out what was causing the key cards wouldn’t issues she had the housekeeper deliver the keys to our room. Probably because she was busy and/or didn’t want to face us. When we walked in the door she was alone and was very busy. We were completely understanding and were very patient. It almost seemed as if she thought we were being impatient. We most certainly were not. ||The next morning my wife went to the front desk to speak to the manager who we were told the previous evening would be there the following morning, but he wasn’t. My wife spoke to the lady at the front desk the next morning, who was very polite and listened to our frustrations, but she did absolutely nothing to try to smooth things over. ||I wrote a review for the hotel when I received an email request to do so. I went into great detail explaining how the ball was dropped numerous times. Someone, presumably a manager, did reply, but it was simply empty apologies that seemed very hollow. ||I travel a lot for work, both domestically and internationally. I almost always stay at IHG branded hotels. I hold elite status with them, but even without that when I have had issues before which is very very infrequent they always bend over backwards to try to make it right. I didn’t see an IHG property in Tombstone, or I would have stayed there. ||I wasn’t looking for a free room, but anything aside from the response I got would have been welcome. I am a very patient person and I always give hotels the benefit of the doubt. Very rarely will I complain. But I was dumbfounded at how much they didn’t seem to care that the service was substandard at best. It was a big disappointment. ||I have never stayed at a Wyndham property before, and it will likely never happen again. I get it that occasionally the ball will get dropped. I don’t expect perfection. I do expect to be treated like a paying customer and for the staff and management to come like they care. ||I would like to return to Tombstone again for a longer period of time, and I would ordinarily be willing to give this hotel another chance. However, with the 1/2 hearted “apology” (seemed more like canned answers to me) that I got I won’t go back. They had a chance to redeem themselves and they failed at that too. ||Stay wherever you want to, but I would recommend against this hotel. It’s been years since I was this disappointed and I have stayed at hundreds of different hotels across the globe, so I speak with a Level...

Read moreI wish I could give 5 stars, but I honestly can't. I only went to Tombstone because it was my late fiance's first birthday since he passed and he would have loved to have gone there. I believe we stayed 10/4/18 - 10/6/18. First, I must say the staff were all very kind, helpful, very informative and super friendly. If I could rate the hotel on that alone, 5 stars is what they would definitely get! They were all wonderful! However, the rooms are VERY dated and in desperate need of a makeover. The refrigerator in the room was so tiny, we couldn't fit very much in it. We had been traveling across country from FL and had numerous items that needed refrigeration that went to waste because our cooler sprung a leak the day we arrived. There was also no microwave in the room, which is implied in the hotel description. They do serve breakfast, but we decided to just eat pre packaged oatmeal as nothing seemed very appealing to us. We did try the biscuits and gravy, but it was very bland. Also, the coffee pot in our room broke after running a cup of water through it before being able to make any coffee. But we brought an electric kettle and instant coffee to have before fresh coffee was available with breakfast in the morning. The handicapped parking should be the first parking spots nearest the door, but there was actually a Tesla spot closer than the handicapped spots so I had to park elsewhere, which after a very long drive, was very inconvenient. And thankfully, I bring Clorox wipes with me when I travel to clean anything I may touch in ANY hotel. The bedside table obviously had not been cleaned in quite some time and was sticky. The remote control for the tv was also kind of filthy and actually brown. The bathroom looked clean at first sight, but there were many long black hairs all over the bathroom. Whoever got our room after we left, I'm sure got the cleanest room in the hotel as we spent quite some time cleaning before doing anything else. All of that being said, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I had during my cross country trip and staying at Hilton's everywhere I stopped. Also, I loved the outdoor area in the back. It was cold for us at night and early morning and it would have been nice to see the fire pit on while we were outside smoking. We had a beautiful view and the sunrise and sunset were amazing from the hill the hotel sits upon. We also saw a bit of local wildlife in the dusk hours which made it even more beautiful. But the screen outside of our room was torn, so we just closed the blinds and went outside to enjoy the view. If you're planning on a stay at this hotel, just be aware that housekeeping could be greatly improved, the rooms are outdated, breakfast isn't wonderful but there is a cappuccino machine which was great to warm us up and I'm sure you will find something to eat as we did. Also be aware that in the area, there is only 1 convenient store and we had to travel quite a way to get to a restaurant. All of the reasons listed are why I could only give 3 stars. It's a cheaper place to stay, but you get what you pay for. It is very close to Boothill cemetery and just a short drive from Allen Street where all of the old Tombstone tourist action is. We were also told that Dennis Quaid had stayed in that hotel not very long ago. Not in the room we had, but next to it. Just take all of this into consideration when booking your stay. Overall, it's not the best place I've ever stayed, but little things like the wonderful staff make up for everything else. The staff...
