Inn on Lake Wissota — Hotel in Town of Anson

I purchased a night for my friends as a thank you. When the time came for my friends to leave there was a major snow storm that started. As soon as I heard from my friends saying it was too dangerous to drive, I contacted the inn over 24 hours in advance. When talking to the owner, she stated I should find another date for my friends to go and get back to her. When I did (within a two days) I contacted the owner. At that time the owner stated she would not honor her prior agreement. When I asked why, she stated because she could have rented to room out and I didn’t get back to her the next day. The owner continued to change her story multiple times on why she would not refund the money nor (which is what I originally ask for) at least reschedule a different time. I must also add while I called over 24 hours in advance (which almost all motel/hotels honor) she stated on the phone she had multiple calls for the room I rented and had to turn them down IN THE 24 HOUR time frame after I called. Which means she could have rented the room (maybe still did and kept my money). She is still refusing to deal with the matter to this day. I...

When my husband made the decision to retire, we decided we wanted to go somewhere to celebrate. We chose the Inn on Lake Wissota. We couldn’t have made a better choice. It was the perfect place for a getaway celebration. The Inn is set right on the lake. The views are stunning! The room we stayed in, “Still Waters” was well appointed and sooo comfortable. It has a separate living space, not just a bedroom. There is also a common living space that is a great place to relax with a book, play a few games, or visit with other guests. The hosts, Meghan and Brad, make you feel very welcome in their home. Brad was at the helm the weekend we stayed. He served us a fabulous breakfast each morning. He was always checking in to see if you needed anything. They offer a well-stocked beverage nook where you can make yourself a cup of coffee or grab a cold drink from the minifridge. In the evening there are options for lakeside seating where two fire tables are available to keep you cozy on a cool summer night. The Inn on Like Wissota was the perfect place to spend a long weekend. We are so glad we made this choice. We cannot wait...

We had the most relaxing stay in "Serenity". The room is beautiful with attention to every detail. You are treated to the most wonderful view of the lake and pine trees outside the huge window and sliding glass doors. The bed is beyond comfortable with the amazing Comphy sheets! There are lots of special touches...chocolates in your room upon arrival, water, soda and coffee availability, fresh cookies....incredible hospitality in Meghan and Brad. The tub in the room was very therapeutic and helped my sore knee. The deck outside the room was a wonderful way to start and end our days....I read two books and they even provide an outdoor blanket to cuddle up with. The breakfasts are huge and wonderful and filled us up uWntil dinner time. The location is in a lovely neighborhood with beautiful gardens and it is very easy to access the Old Abe Bike Trail from the Inn. Loved our ride to Brunette Island State Park. We would love to return. You can't go wrong with a visit to The Inn on Lake Wissota. We peaked at the other rooms and they are beautiful too. And your hosts...
