Bailey‘s Wood’s campground was the perfect spot. I like Bailey’s Harbor. They have Door County brewing and you can go straight up to sister Bay or straight over to Fish Creek so it’s really convenient. The campground also gave us buy one get one free drinks at Door County brewing in Baileys Harbor so that was kind of a cool thing. The weekends in the summer are busy but during the week it was very quiet.I’d say it’s less frills for kids. They did have a playground with tetherball and stuff like that. A washer and dryer and clean bathrooms. Everything you’d want for a campground and the horses were very nice and accommodating. Not too far of a drive is a place called cultivated and it has really great bagels and bagel sandwiches. If you’re looking for a nice getaway for camping, this is a really good stop. Our site was for a travel trailer and it was $52 a night and it included water and electricity. They have different sites for different needs.

The campsites have mostly level gravel parking areas for RVs and are well shaded with lots of trees. We liked our large campsite with electric and water connections (some sites do not have either and cost less). The buildings with restrooms, laundry, and a small store were clean during our stay. It was helpful to have one washing machine ($2) and one dryer ($1) available for our use. It may be a problem to use the machines when the campground is busy with other guests. Some areas of the campground used by the staff seem to be in disrepair.

Just got back from a three night stay. It was very relaxing and quiet there. The sites ae woodsy and spacious. There is a playground but not much for kids to do otherwise. We had a big camper and my husband is very good at maneuvering it, but some of the turns were tight - and our 40 ft camper was probably the max that I'd want to take in there. It is up a hill so you'll have to make sure you have good pulling power, but the top of the hill is worth it. There's beautiful pots of flowers and the campground and sites are beautiful.

This campsite was lovely, and the owner was friendly while we were there, but my son accidentally left his camping backpack at the playground, and the man has been SO INCREDIBLY RUDE to me since. I very politely asked him to mail the backpack and stated that I would pay for all shipping charges. Instead of mailing me the whole backpack, he just extracted my son's laptop charger from the backpack, and mailed that in a large bag that could have easily accommodated the backpack as well. When I called again to request the backpack (again offering to pay all charges), he was rude, and he could only talk about was how inconvenient it was going to be. I thanked him profusely anyway, and trusted that it would be sent. I just called a third time (seven days after I called the second time) to ask when I might should look for the package, and all he said was that he "needed to look into it." When I told him we needed the backpack for camp, he started yelling at me on the phone (but accused me of "getting excited", when I didn't raise my voice one bit) and then hung up on me. My hands are still shaking from this encounter, I am so surprised and shocked at the rudeness of this man. He seemed so nice in person. I can't stand conflict, and this was a...

We utilized two sites for our weekend. In spite of the cold temps and rain, we enjoyed the site location. It was an easy site to back into and have space for the vehicle and camp setup.||||The bathhouse situation was not as nice. With COVID on the rise, there were no signs regarding wearing of masks or hand sanitizer available. Shower stalls were filthy all weekend long, as were toilet stalls. Floors were not cleaned either. Ceiling tiles were sagging and being held up with tape.||||Two shower stalls and one without hot water. When I stopped at the office to let the owner know, he pretended to be surprised but I was not fooled. Nothing was done all weekend to remedy the situation.||||Yes, the old school style campground was nice, but for the price per night, a hot CLEAN shower should not be too much to ask. We have stayed at much nicer and cleaner campgrounds for less. Attempting to keep things clean and sanitized at all times should just be a given.||||We are hoping this review opens eyes and minds to the importance of cleanliness for those of us who aren't in a self contained unit and rely on the shower house and bathrooms. When a porta potty on premise is cleaner, that plainly shows neglect...

We loved our stay at Baileys Woods. We stayed here from May-August 2012 and had a wonderful time there.

The facilities are clean and in good working order and the sites are wooded which makes them feel a lot more private & quiet than other campgrounds in Baileys Harbor. The shade also helped a LOT on some of the hotter days of the summer and since it's located on top of a hill there's usually a nice breeze. We rarely had to use our A/C for the summer.

The owners of this campground are wonderful, wonderful people. We felt right at home here! One of the owners, Paul, went out of his way to call all over the county when my bike was stolen from a local restaurant. I never asked him to do this, but after several phone calls, my bike turned up less than 2 weeks later.

As for the location, it's an easy car ride to anywhere on the peninsula and Baileys Harbor is on the "quiet" side of the peninsula which is nice for longer stays. We avoided much of the tourist traffic, etc that happens in other locations like Fish Creek.

We will come back here again and again and will recommend it to all of...
