We have been coming to Willowood Inn for years as our family vacation. We rented 6 different rooms across the motel. This was our first stay with the new owners and we absolutely love them!! Angie and her family own and run the motel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. You cannot beat the price of the rooms either, super affordable!! The office is a great meeting place, Angie's son Josh takes care of things in the early morning and evening hours. He is very nice, welcoming and happy to help. Angie is very family oriented who has children and grandchildren of her own. It was such a nice welcome change to have someone who enjoys and doesn't mind having children around. However, there were plenty of peaceful and quiet morning and evenings. We used the grills offered to have a couple of outdoor meals. There is still free coffee every morning and they've added a small free breakfast with donuts and fruit. There is a ice maker in the office that everyone is welcome to use. The ramp served us well to just wheel the cooler into the lobby. It comes in very handy because we love going to the beach each day! We are so excited to return! We feel like we've gained those kinds of friends that feel more like family. Highly recommend Willowood Inn whether you're looking for a place to gather with family or a quiet weekend getaway, Willowood has that "at home" country/vintage charm with warm...
Read moreI planned our family reunion in 2020. But due to COVID, we weren't able to have it until this July, 2022. Angie Lowe, owner, kept our 4th of July reservations during those years & we finally had a fantastic reunion. Angie was very accommodating & easy to work with as I planned the details. || We used the grounds in the back to set up our tent & reserved 9 rooms for out-of-state guests. Since most were baby boomers, we loved staying at a 1957-era motel - a blast from the past!|| Our relatives loved the extra large fire pit & the various seating areas around the property. The flowers were blooming & they've done a nice job of improving landscaping. They added a new & large playground, a beautiful pavilion & cute gazebo are all in the back of the motel & yard games. || You must ask for the hair dryer & daily room cleaning. Bathrooms are clean but small, with bar soaps & shampoo. My bathroom sink was identical to the house I grew up in that was built in 1956! Each room has a different theme & decor.|| I highly recommend staying at the Willowood Inn! Prices are reasonable & the property is beautiful with vistas of the Baraboo hills & close to...
Read moreWe stayed in Cabin #10 at Willowood Inn for a long weekend in March and absolutely loved it. The cabin has a charming vintage vibe, with two bedrooms (each with a full bed), a full kitchen, a cozy living room, and a clean, well-kept bathroom. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and the heater worked like a dream—super warm and completely silent. We slept comfortably every night.||One magical moment was seeing a group of deer run by one morning—such a peaceful, beautiful setting. Our main reason for the trip was to visit Devil's Lake, which is close enough to walk to (about 30 minutes on foot). There are also a few restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, which made things super convenient.||A highlight of the trip was meeting Angie, the inn’s owner. She’s incredibly sweet, warm, and social—by the end of our stay, she felt like family. We miss her already!||If you're looking for a cozy, clean, and welcoming place to stay near Devil’s Lake, I highly recommend Willowood Inn. We’ll...
