This “Resort” is right on the lake, with water views, a restaurant, pool, and Koi pond. They also have annex lodging about 1 mile up the road that is a bit cheaper. We stayed here for the weekend for a wedding and stayed at the Annex, supposably the resort offers a shuttle service to take guests to/from the annex building to the main lodging. We asked the front desk for information on the shuttle service for the wedding and for daily vacation life. We asked the front desk additional information about the shuttle service and where and when to get the shuttle if we want to come spend time at the lake, she said “you’ll just see it”. She couldn’t provide us a number to call when we wanted the shuttle nor tell us where we can go to get the shuttle. The Resort also was offering a shuttle service for the wedding ceremony to take guests to and from the annex to the ceremony. We asked what time will the shuttle bring us to the ceremony and bring us back and they didn’t know. “Just be ready early and look and see what everyone else is doing”. 10 minutes before the ceremony was to start the shuttle finally showed up as we were about to drive ourselves. We asked the driver what time should we be ready by to catch the shuttle back to the Annex at the end of the reception. The driver was rude and said “I didn’t know anything about this, I didn’t know I had to do this I just found out I had to do this 5 minutes ago, I don’t know!” By the end of the night, we actually caught the shuttle, the driver was the BARTENDER who also didn’t know he would be doing this drive for us. They simply didn’t have anyone to shuttle all the guests back to the annex so they had to have the bartender do it, at least he was friendly. What do these people working here actually know? People who come and stay here spend an absurd amount of money to stay here and use their services but they don’t know anything. Not to mention the bride and groom spend all this money to have their wedding here and they couldn’t even get the shuttle done properly. The “swimming area” is about a 20x20 foot waterzone in between two docks, it closes at 5pm to allow boats to park there. They had an outdoor tiki bar by the swimming area. The koi pond was beautiful. The lodges at the main resort site were cute with picnic tables and fire pits. The annex buildings could’ve used a nice exterior cleaning, there were tons of bugs, dirt, spider webs and hornets nests on the exterior. Inside the tub wouldn’t drain, the sink had a leak which they had a bag attached underneath it to catch the water, that bag was moldy appearing and wasn’t hidden so that’s all you saw, pretty gross. The bed were clean thankfully. The individuals that worked there were either on two opposite ends, either friendly or really rude. The view for the ceremony for the wedding was gorgeous, the reception hall was...

Read moreMy wife and I spent Labor day weekend at BWM and loved every minute. We are in our late 50s/60s and found the BWM to be a perfect weekend experience. We stayed in room 54 which was clean, updated, and comfortable. We had 1 Queen bed and when we go again, I will opt for the King rooms and something on the first floor as the space outside the room on the 2nd floor is small and there is no seating. But, there are so many areas to sit, have lunch, read and relax it didn't make a difference. ||||There is a new kidney shaped pool with a large covered gazebo offering plenty of chairs and tables to share a quiet lunch. Running waterfalls make it very soothing and all the furniture is new and comfortable. The grounds are kept immaculate with wildflowers and plantings everywhere you look. The ownership has spent time, money and effort on the maintenance. They have a spa-like section with a coy pond and running water that you could get lost one afternoon in reading or just relaxing. This brings you to the restaurant area; a stone building, directly on the lake offering some of the most beautiful views. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner which is very convenient and makes it difficult to ever leave the resort. ||||In front of the restaurant is the lake and while there are 55 stairs you must navigate to get below the restaurant to the dock, the reward is a Tiki bar area with bar and food service. There are options to sit on the docks, lounge on the beach sand or a high top at the small, cute Tiki Bar. Carl, the host at the TIki bar did an outstanding job servicing everyone while maintaining a smile and making if a fun afternoon. Boats come and go all day to patron the restaurant and tiki bar and we enjoyed spending the afternoon taking in the views, reading, admiring the boats, and meeting and talking to the boaters. ||||The staff at BWM were very accommodating and were genuinely a pleasure to deal with. The young man that drove the golf carts transporting people back and for from their rooms to the restaurant was always attentive offering rides. The resort is small but hilly and we opted to walk for the exercise but he was there each and every time to offer us a ride. The restaurant staff was fun to talk to and worked very hard to keep everyone happy. They had live entertainment each night and we enjoyed the relaxing and fun atmosphere. ||||We left on Monday morning to head home and saw an I LOVE NY sign built up on the hill as we passed the visitor center...I thought to myself, I LOVE NY...and we...
