Simply frightening. I should have said no when the owner answered the phone "yeah" and was super strange when telling me there were rooms available. First time in close to 30 years of traveling that I received a text enroute telling me they were "leaving the key in the room." Never saw anyone from management during my 2 day stay, was never provided any sort of receipt or invoice. This is a tiny off grid motel, no wifi (can see one but cannot connect to it) and barely any AT&T connectivity. Ancient decor. Prehistoric mattress felt like laying on a stack of lumber. Room musty and filled with spiders. Old tube TV teeters on shelf built above the "closet" where the mini-fridge is. There's a "tv guide" hand written on a piece of cardboard but half the 10 channels don't work. Horrifying cup containing what appeared to be a maxi-pad covered with a bright pink substance up on shelf by TV -- only guess is a DIY bug trap of some sort? Bathroom is tiny with literally NO room between toilet and wall in front. Toilet seat broken. Sink barely hanging on the wall. Shower is a single old stall. Water shot out of the top of the head like a sprinkler. Casement AC installed above the head of the bed worked but was tremendously noisy and required standing on the bed to access any of the controls. ...
Read moreI would not consider this hotel ever again. When I arrived, the room smelled extremely musty and the toilet did not work properly. I decided not to stay and I was assured by the man at the hotel that I would not be charged. Obviously there is no communication between the man at the hotel and the man handling the reservations, because when I got my credit card statement, it turns out that I was charged. When I called the hotel to explain the situation and get my money back, the man handling reservations was extremely rude and condescending. He called me a liar, saying that I never stopped at the hotel to cancel, and I now have a dispute being handled by my credit card company. What a hassle! ...

We booked from overseas 2 months ago over the phone, spoke to Billy, gave him my CC details for confirmation, received an email confirming the booking (after learning that he wasn’t able to call international to confirm- the reason being he didn’t know he had to dial 011 to call overseas) and on the arrival day we are told that he doesn’t remember us, he doesn’t remember getting our cc details and he doesn’t remember sending me an email. When I told him that it was unacceptable and that I had a copy of the email! He had the nerve to say that he was fully booked but had 2 small rooms to offer at 100$ more that’s initial price!
