I am only giving this place a 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. Can we give negative stars? These people OWE ME a star! Where should I start? The wedding had to be rescheduled due to COVID restrictions and at about 1/2 the original guest list was cut. Nice to play a game of favorites huh? Fine, COVID screwed up a lot of things. The new date was scheduled shortly before the original wedding date - plenty of time to prep the rooms. The couple was told they needed to inform the guests that booking the rooms at the venue was not allowed until April 1st. After April 1st, the couple was told that there are absolutely no rooms available for any of their guests, none were reserved for the event, and any reservations that were made online via Expedia, Travelocity, etc would be canceled by the venue. Their reasoning for this? They said that prior guests (who were "forced" to stay there for MONTHS due to COVID had "trashed" the place and the rooms were unusable...Really? EVERY room??). Please know that the venue was not answering any calls, voicemails or emails from the guests for any questions - 'cause this is how successful businesses are run! If you are looking to open a business soon - write that down. Do NOT reply to guest communications. The venue stated that they would "help" the guests by providing a shuttle service for specific hotels that were "nearby" - Great so not only do I have to find another place to stay but now I have to stay where they dictate if I want a DD at the end of the night? - as the guests could not stay at the venue ( I smell government subsidy fraud here.) After this, the couple was informed that the booking they had made IN ADDITITON to the bridal suite that they understood was included in the event contract, was, in fact, the bridal suite itself. So there there was no room or area reserved for the groomsmen to get ready - I guess may a hallway or a public bathroom could have been used? Who would like to see that? A handful of guys, drinking, hanging out in their underwear (IF they are wearing underwear - I don't judge) in a random hallway. At this time, the venue had stated that everyone attending the wedding would have to provide vaccination proof or a negative COVID test at most 3 days prior to the event in order to be admitted to the event, regardless of masks. Shortly after this is when the discussion on the final contract price came into play. The venue was stating that they were going to provide the couple a $2,500 "COVID refund" off the original contract price that contained the original guest count. This is beyond absurd. How can you charge for guests that aren't even allowed to attend due to YOUR restrictions. (Let's add extortion to the fraud. Fun times) Man this place is sounding more and more like they are run by a mob. There is more fun. A week before the wedding the bride was informed that the bridal suite that she booked was not "available" and that they would "make this right" (Good luck buddy) by booking a room at another nearby hotel. As the couple had booked 2 nights at the venue, the venue booked only 1 night at the "other' hotel (which was very accommodating BTW). From this, those getting ready with the bride had to switch rooms 1/2 way though the day. (Let's add yet another inconvenience here.) ON TOP OF ALL THIS the venue then informed the couple that, regardless of negative test or vaccine, the guests MUST were masks. It was only after the venue was provided evidence by the NEW YORK STATE DEPT OF HEALTH BY THE COUPLE did they sweetly say "Oh it was JUST a recommendation." (Anyone else hear the BS oozing out of this one?) The day of the wedding was just as frustrating for all involved. The ceremony was held outside and although it had been MONTHS since autumn, there were dead leaves all over the floor. Apparently they had never heard of a broom or rake. There was no one there to coordinate the wedding ceremony so everyone was just roaming around. (Reminded me of the old computer game...
Read moreI wanted to write a fair and honest review about this 2 star apartment complex while helping future brides avoid the migraine that this place holds for them. First I'd like to say that while the party as a whole was great, there were several areas where it was greatly lacking. Brides, if you are looking for an all in one place to host your ceremony, reception & rooms for your guests, this is not the place for you. Working with this venue pre pandemic was fantastic, Angelo was very understanding & flexible when we had to move our date to 2021. However when 2021 came, Angelo was no longer our point of contact & things took a drastic shift. Working with Joanna was an absolute and utter nightmare. She was extremely unprofessional, sent multiple rude emails and did everything she possibly could to make things more difficult leading up to the wedding. She demanded that we must provide this venue all of our guests either proof of vaccine or negative test 4 days before the wedding. How in the world are we supposed to get that 4 days before when it's literally their job to check these things, not ours. Despite Governor Cuomo lifting the mask mandate which I showed & proved to Joanna multiple times, she still caused a scene insisting I was wrong & that my guests would need to wear masks. After meeting with her in person her tone quickly changed & we were able to be maskless. Now had Joanna or Joe told us that it was the hotels policy we would've been just fine with it, however both tried to shove the blame onto the governor, saying it was his rules not theirs. The complete lack of ownership is staggering with these individuals. The housing complexes owner, Joe, was also another difficult person to work with who repeatedly yelled at the bride then attempted to make it ok by saying it was a term of endearment & how he does things like this with his kids & grandkids all the time. It's worth noting that I am neither his child nor his grandchild & I'm not too sure why he felt it appropriate to yell at his client on multiple occasions. The only decent thing this place did for us was put us in a different hotel, seeing as their honeymoon suite was out of order, just like the rest of their rooms. Additionally, multiple people who are living at this housing complex snuck their way into my wedding. Luckily for this venue I was only informed after the fact about these uninvited guests. Good thing they were checking everyone's vaccine status or negative covid test before letting them into the reception like they claimed! If they had, these wedding crashers wouldn't have been able to get inside seeing as they weren't on our guest list! A word of caution if you do choose this place, get absolutely everything in writing, all of the fine details/price breakdowns. To this day, this venue is still refusing to provide this to my husband & I. While weddings are charged per individual, this venue charged us for our pre pandemic head count (180) & not the final headcount of only 93 individuals. At this point in time in the pandemic we were legally only allowed 150 individuals so how they feel that charging us for the 180 is fair I'll never know. They still will not provide an accurate break down of the costs or return the additional money we already paid. When our hands were forced to reach out to a lawyer only 2 days before the wedding, the venue completely avoided talking to him. They attempted to placate us by returning a mere portion of the money owed & at this point, we just wanted to never deal with them again so we begrudgingly accepted. Despite promising a late night pizza and wing station, they only provided the pizza, very not Buffalo of them. After reviewing the cake flavors & combination for each tier Joanna still managed to get it wrong. I firmly feel the only reason this wedding went so well was thanks to the DJ & the photo booth, this venue can't take any credit. To any future couple looking for a good place for your wedding,...

We made sure we were back at our room at 9:40pm and tried to order with the phone number the receptionist gave us at check in but got a voicemail, we tried several times. We called the front desk to let them know we wanted to order room service but were getting voicemail she said “its 9:50 and I tell people to order before 10:00pm”. I said we have been trying to order for 10 minutes and made sure we were back early enough. She then said she will try to get ahold of someone, and were we going to come down to pick the food up. I said No! We wanted room service. The receptionist said she will call us right back after she tries to get someone at the restaurant. She never called back, we did not eat that night and went to sleep. The next morning, we went down for breakfast. You can make waffles, there are little pastries and orange juice. I tried to make toast but the toaster didn’t work so after 4 tries my toast was just barley toasted. I then went to ask the receptionist if she could have someone fix the shower head since the water sprays out of only a few holes due to the buildup of gunk. She said no one was there now but she will “see what she can do”. We were out until about 1:00pm then came back to the room to rest. It had not been cleaned yet. About 2:00 housekeeping knocked on the door. I told her we would be gone in about an hour and to please come back. We went out about 2:45 and were gone until after 10:00pm. When we got back to the room, very tired, Yup! you guessed it. NOT CLEANED!! No clean towels, Shower head had not been touched. I called the front desk and the gentleman was very nice and apologetic. He offered to bring us clean towels or change us to a clean room. Not wanting to move everything so late we opted just for clean towels. So, to summarize. Even though the room was not too expensive, it is not worth the money. I could have gotten a much more updated and cleaner room at the Budget Inn down the street. I would have asked for a full or partial refund due to all the issues we had, had it not been our 25th anniversary weekend and not wanting to get myself upset. The staff is nice though. Even though it seemed the pregnant receptionist was nice to our faces but couldn’t care less about our requests or complaints, as nothing got done. This hotel has the potential to be amazing if the new owners would care to hire professionals. People who care about the guests and doing a good job (the gentleman at the front desk that brought us towels had great customer service, they need more people like him). It needs updating badly, It needs a really good cleaning staff and good customer service reps that will actually do something when a customer complains, and/or a good manager to oversee all of this if the owner is not on the premises. I have read the other reviews and responses from the owner, to give them another chance as they are updating and making changes and I possibly would, if the changes actually GET DONE!! and it is not just lip service from the owner. Like I said there was some positive but a lot of negative and I didn’t see any updating or construction going on. So there you have it, you...
