I asked if a team of 14 boys (Red Sox age 8 could come to swim Aug 25, 2024? Yes, for 150.00 dollars. (parents too). and then stopped in two days later and met the owner: Mindy Reggio. I asked if we could use the meeting room, so parents wouldn't have to drag tables, chairs there, etc. And offered $50 more for allowing that 3X's. She kindly refused 3X's saying NOT NECESSARY, as I recall your 150,00 check. So Sunday arrived, and no management was there. Desk girls said NO management comes in on Sundays, including Madeline who assured me she would be there. They said Madeline is NOT HERE. Then told all the parents when they arrived: "YOU CANNOT COME IN" YOU NEVER PAID

What a nightmare. Parked us in between two other big rigs while the park was mostly empty. We discovered a few hours later that our dog’s fur and our shoes were caked with a nasty tree sap from the leaves all around our site. I had to soak the dog’s paws after every time he went out. We put the chairs and awning in and we’re stuck inside for the rest of the day. I had just cleaned the carpet and our shoes were very hard to get clean. It was about 5:00 and I decided to call the office and ask to speak to the manager. We weren’t going to try to move, I wanted to tell them about this and suggest they don’t park people where the mess is. I was a HR manager and taught business classes and thought management needed to know about this. The manager didn’t call me back and they say I was disrespectful when I explained to the lady why I was calling when I called later. I was angry angry over the mess and not being called back and I guess expressing my disappointment is considered disrespect. When leaving in the morning I went in the office and asked for Amber the manager. She gave me a hateful stare when I asked why she didn’t return my call. I asked for information about filing a damage claim if our shoes, awning etc. didn’t get clean. She told me it was Mother Nature and camping. I didn’t get the information I asked for but another clerk gave me the KOA complaint number. I became so angry I was shaking at Amber yelling at me to get over it. I was then surrounded by 3 women, one held the door open and they told me to get out. I was trying to suggest they evaluate the sites before parking people there. They told me they didn’t want to hear what I had to say. The owner emailed me 4 days later and said I was disrespectful and not welcomed back. One positive is that she offered the only apology I heard saying she’s sorry my husband’s shoes are ruined. Amber has anger issues and no one there has any customer service ability. 35 years in HR and I never raised my voice and was appalled at the confrontational stance they took when anyone with common sense knows you diffuse an angry customer with empathy and kindness. Read Trip Advisor, I am not the only one treated poorly by the staff of this KOA. It’s a pretty place with good food but being subjected to that mess that could have been avoided then to be so nasty to me is not a good place to patronize. I was in the office less than 5 minutes, was there by myself and did not deserve to be hanged up on by 3 employees. Being unhappy is disrespectful at this place, I wonder what they do when someone is as rude and intimidating...
Read moreVery, very sad and disappointed with our experience at this KOA. We were SO excited about spending some time at this new location - my 11 year-old son had his days of swimming and camping all planned. I had reserved a site that was full hook-ups for 4 days via their website that stated this site would accommodate the length of our RV, etc. When we arrived and were given our spot we saw that this was the most tight fit we have ever seen at any campground ever — we have been camping for almost 10 years. The sites were literally crammed on top of each other where our neighbors were less than 5 feet from us. We disregarded that inconvenience still excited about camping. Then came the BIG ISSUES! We tried to hook up our extra long sewer hose that we have used on every one of our camping trips only to find out that it was not long enough. My husband went to the office to get some help where he was informed that someone would be out to help us. A service employee came and basically scolded my husband for not having the right length sewer hose. We were never informed that this site would need a specific extra long sewer hose length. The service person told us he would go see what he could do to help us — guess what? He never returned. My husband inquired with the office to talk with the owner and left several messages. No response. We decided to pack it up - we may have considered staying but the staff was COMPLETELY RUDE thus far and we had already paid for full hookups and were told no other sites were available. We decided to come back home. On our way out my husband stopped at the front desk to ask if the owner was there only to be informed that the owner had just left 10 minutes earlier — obviously our camping trip experience was not important since his campground was already full. It appears that the owner only cares about certain campers - perhaps the people that have been there many times before. We just received a call from the owner and my husband described his attitude as condescending and rude. My husband explained our situation and why we left and he said the owner only provided one word answers and was not willing to accept the advice of stating on their website that some of their campsites required extra-long sewer hoses. My husband requested a partial refund for our trip and the owner wouldn’t even hear of it. If the owner ends up reading this, thank you for ruining our vacation and I hope you enjoy our money because we...
