We stayed here because we had something in the town of Albion the following morning and this was the closest lodging option. I honestly was not expecting much (It was only $80 for the night), and that's pretty much what we got. There are 2 or 3 buildings that remind me of summer camp cabins with about 3 or 4 rooms in each "cabin." ||I'm borderline between 2 and 3 stars here. The rooms were large and clean, but that's about the only good thing. There was a wifi code provided to us, but it did not work, and reception was spotty. TV had a good range of channels, but was extremely dated. They only have 2 twin beds for each room, and they were extremely uncomfortable along with the pillows. Walls were paper thin and we could easily hear into the room next to us. Luckily we were in the cabin in the back so road noise wasn't too bad. Even something as small as the toilet paper that they provide can be a game changer for a stay at a hotel or lodge-and theirs was as bargain as you can find. ||Now to be clear this is solely a review for the lodge. Tillman's-the restaurant adjoining the lodge, was surprisingly pretty good and may be one of your better bets for a meal if you find yourself in this small rural town. The staff at the restaurant was courteous, but there is no separate staff for the lodge. ||It's essentially like staying at a Motel 8 type facility with a larger and probably cleaner room, but less comfortable sleeping arrangements, and the added convenience of being right next to a decent restaurant. Some improvements that could go a long way-New mattresses and pillows-queen size and not full. Convert one or two rooms into a king room. Update showers. Those few small things would...
Read moreI have lived in the area for 13 year as and never realized what a lovely place we had here for lodging. We decided to stay here the night of our wedding and several of our out of town guests did as well. The rooms are all very spacious. Our included 2 beds, a table with 2 chairs, a dresser, tv, phone, coffee maker and coffee, shampoo and conditioner. All rooms have air conditioning and it worked great. They also all have nice private baths. The room was very clean. We definitely enjoyed our stay and heard many compliments from our guests from out of town as well. The only possible downfall would be that it is not like a typical hotel, where you have access to someone for help or things you need at all hours. Definitely a lovely place to stay and you cannot...
Read moreThree couples spent one night at Inn on their $99.00 Special Package. We had rooms 2, 4 & 5. Rooms 2 & 4 are in the older building. All the rooms were neat & clean. 2 & 4 had a musty smell to them. It had rained hard the night before that might have contributed to the smell. All the rooms had double beds and extra large bathrooms. TV reception was not good, was suppose to be cable. Room 4 had no coffee packets and we didn't notice that till morning, but there is a Crosby gas station across the street with great coffee. Room 5 was wonderful, extra large, fresh clean smell, again a large bathroom. With the special you get a bottle of wine, this time it was Arbor Mist, a small box (4 pieces) of chocolate and a $30.00 voucher towards dinner at Tillman's Country Inn. A...
