We recently returned from a weekend at the Stay at Liberty Farms with my family (and our beloved pup) to celebrate a big birthday and had the most memorable time. We will cherish it for years. We loved that we were able to sleep outdoors in a canvas tent on a king sized bed with luxurious sheets equipped with our own bathroom and shower. We went to a farmer’s market and bought organic meats and produce from local farms (Liberty Farms ran out) that we grilled at the site. It was a wonderful farm to table meal that we ate in the outdoor common area, which had a breathtaking view of the mountains at sunset. Marie and Joe were excellent and provided a personal touch. Marie was very kind and was accessible by phone. Joe was on-site and helped with anything we needed. We also met the owners who were lovely and had even offered to get steaks for us from a neighboring farm when they ran out. We have been fortunate to travel the world and felt this was a very unique experience. We have talked about making this an annual...
Read moreCITY GIRL WHO ENJOYS NATURE- Just returned from one of the most amazing trips, only two hours away from NYC. The Stay at Liberty Farms far exceeded our expectations. Im not a camping type of girl, but i do enjoy being in nature and this was the perfect combo of both. To add to the amazing stay, the staff at The Stay were all so welcoming and just genuinely nice, it felt like a family run establishment. It was fairly easy to get to from the city on the AMTRAK, around two hours, then a quick Uber over. The farm has two stores that supplies goods from the the farm (meats, veggies and snacks) and within 15 min drive theres Hudson and Chatham that has grocery stores, bars and other hangouts. We had the opportunity to tours the farm, ride some horses and end the days with Happy Hour (open to the public on Wednesdays). Overall, an amazing stay, i couldnt say enough good things about Liberty Farms. As a city girl who craves that connection with nature, this is def on my list to...
Read moreWe stayed at Liberty Farms GLAMP Site for 3 nights. Everything went smoothly, from check-in to check-out. The glamp site was amazing, particularly the nest, where we spent most of our time socializing with the other glampers. The farm store had several meats/sausages, mushrooms and vegetables and the Nest had all of the cooking utensils and the simple seasonings. There were 4 grills so nobody would have to wait.
The glamp site manager, Joe, was fantastic and definitely made my experience as great as it was. He was the bell hop, the tour guide, changer of light bulbs, the bartender, and the campfire manager!
Our tent was on the upper hill and was pretty good with not many bugs, but it's still a tent in the woods so you'll have to do your part to make sure you don't let bugs in your own tent. The shower was gas-heated so the hot water was quick and felt...
