This was such a wonderful experience!!! I not only loved the natural beauty of the shore and bluffs but the whole family friendly atmosphere with kids and families visiting each other and kids and families on bikes all over the place! It felt so neighborly like a suburb within a campground! It made me feel safe as I was camping alone. I also have to mention that at the top of the list for me was the Eagle trail hike which was too beautiful for words and magical! Completely blew me away with the natural beauty- oh the Niagara escarpment is an amazing thing to behold! I hardly could belive I was in the midwest!! Not to mention the miles of well cared for beaches and shore. The Eagle Tower and Panorama is of course my favorite too! I loved that the "whole neighborhood" would gather at the shore for the sunset which was so sweet and amazing! Will be coming back with my husband (the Lord willing.)

Tennison Bay Campground is a very big campground in Peninsula State Park. Most of the sites here are great! The bathrooms and shower buildings are relatively nice here. Our site had a swivel grill attached to the fire ring which we absolutely loved. It looked like every site had one. We would strongly recommend that you bring your bikes when you camp here. There are so many great biking trails here. There are also some nice hiking trails, but it seems that biking is bigger than hiking here. We enjoyed camping here! We prefer Tennison Bay Campground over South Nicolet Campground in this park.

The campsites were in a great location and the bay was visible from our campsite. The weather was not in our favor but we made the best of it. Bathrooms are available in the off season, but just the vault toilets, there are no available outlets on site which I liked, as it seemed more with nature. I recommend going, just make sure to go during the season, as the off season is a little cold lol. The pictures I uploaded are from eagle ridge which is within the camping area and is a beautiful trail.

Nice campground with great hiking, beach & beautiful places. Sites were large & mostly shaded. Bathroom facilities & signage were lacking for a premiere Wisconsin State Park. Lots of vault toilets around, bathrooms with water were not well cleaned. We spent 5 nights there & each day the crew spent 5-7 minutes cleaning the 3 toilets & 2 showers on each side of the bathhouse. The older facilities didn’t have showers that drained well so walked down to updated facility but half of those showers were closed. Bike trail is a packed dirt path, bumpy & full of debris. Trails & roads were not easy to follow especially since the online map differed from the paper maps. Great visit, loved Door County, but won’t...

They shoehorn you in with trees everywhere making it impossible to get your RV backed into the spot easily. It's as if they designed a campground where it would just be very difficult to park on purpose. My first campsite of the two that I used was wide open but they tucked the parking pad in around the trees and you had to back into a 90° angle with no clearance for your front bumper. It's ridiculous. At one point I was coming down the road that was unmarked trying to leave the campground and I ran into a truck going the opposite direction because the roads are not marked as to direction and when you pull an RV this is...
