We spent the weekend a few weeks back. Here's my review in detail:
Some clarity: This would be the perfect place to take your family/friends that is kosher & provide kosher meals over the weekend under rabbinical supervision. My review is for those who have expectations or higher standards
Upon arrival, I was informed by one of the workers that this was the biggest group they hosted since taking ownership, which explained the confusion when checking into the hotel,
Our group stayed in 2 out of the 3 buildings the hotel has to offer.
Main building Rooms: Restrooms & and mattresses have been changed since they have taken new ownership. Yet carpet & drop ceiling have been there for years. It doesn't make guests feel comfortable as a first impression! some rooms had the carpet removed, but the walls had like 5 painting coats on it. Some rooms weren't properly sealed from the outside since there was a group of Spiders & bugs sharing the rooms with us,
Main building Lobby: There's probably 2 inches or 4 inches separating the inside from the outside, or I I'd like to understand why the lobby was cold with no heat (only the following day, they brought fire heaters) which should you want to sit you'd need a jacket+ a coat
Main building Ballroom: Our group had the back ballroom, which gives us the benefit of not having other guests walk through. The condition of the ballroom has seen better days as it would need to be fully renovated with basic modifications such as ceilings/floors/lighting, Entrance to that ballroom is also outdated with drop ceiling hanging from the roof
Side building: Overall No big lobby, you just walk into your room.
As we arrived in our rooms, they were still doing construction, such as adding locks and fixing the toilets. Not mention it was dust all the way around. Most importantly, they were no window shades, so garbage bags were used to cover our window
Main building: Indoor swimming pool/hot tub/Sona were useful for the ones who used it
Huge playroom for kids to enjoy themselves as they don't run around in the lobby area while relaxing
Shul: Big comfortable shul at your disposal open 24 hours with plenty of books to learn
Overall, it's a 3 star out of 5 just because they aim to service the Jewish community at a decent price, yet taking reservations just to cover their expenses while they update the place to its full glory
The owners were there to assist us with any of the issues or questions...
Read moreFor whatever reason, we had to be in hotel this year for Pesach (for the first time in our lives) and upon recommendations, we selected the Melour Resort. Wow- what a beautiful experience from the beginning until the end. We had requested a ground floor room (for health reasons) and were given a brand-new renovated room. They supplied us with extras such as a full- size mirror and a new Shabbos lamp.
The food, not only was in abundance for each meal, but great tasting, such as 2 types of fishes and meats with so many condiments. Each family received a silver plated karah and becher, a matzah and Afikomen tash. They even had Kedem light grape juice which is what we always use.
The grounds were beautiful. I enjoyed the pool and the sauna. The 24 hour tea room served its purpose to the fullest.
I would like to give HaKoros Tov the following people: The entire extend Weber family including Mrs. Weber the owner who really put it all together; my friend, Reb Moshe Laufer who was the Ba’al Tefilla; Rav Yaakov Levine, the shul leader who gave the Daf Yomi shiur daily; Rabbi Eliezer Abish who gave a daily shiur in Inyun D’Yoma. Thanks to the Hostess who ensured that all the meals when well and Mateo, our personal waiter. Last but not least to Tanda, the Secretary who ran the front desk.

The Shabbos meals were truly exceptional - delicious, plentiful, and served with warmth and hospitality. The prayer services were beautiful and meaningful, with a great atmosphere of community and spirituality.
But what really made our stay stand out was the amazing activities for kids! Our little ones had an absolute blast with the engaging staff, fun games, and creative programs. It was wonderful to see them so happy and carefree.
The resort's attention to detail, comfort, and cleanliness were also impressive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
