Timber Bay Resort — Hotel in Town of Lac du Flambeau

I have been vacationing at Timberbay Resort for better than 20 years and had the opportunity to spend time in all but 2 of the cabins that Sean and Darcy have to offer.||Each cabin has its own personality and it would be very hard to pick out a favorite.Over the years we were able to see the renovations and upgrades to each cabin. The effort and personal touch the McEnroe's put forth shows exactly what kind of people they are.||I have enjoyed the Summer and the Fall seasons, and decided to bring some friends up during March to enjoy late Winter and what Northern Wisconsin has to offer. Needless to say, my friends and I have celebrated our March Madness up at Timberbay for close to two decades. Our cabins were always clean. 1. Their #1 biggest advantage is being next door to Dillman's Bay Resort. The two resorts compliment each other. Our families were able to find the perfect accommodations between the two resorts. ||2) Timber Bay has a great advantage in their location on White Sand Lake- the lake is very clean, sandy with a large shallow shelf around the lake. Aptly named, it's not an overly weedy or mucky lake. ||3) Timber Bay has the best sand beach with tons of free water toys, fun rafts, a trampoline, a slip and slide and lots more! ||5) There is also lot of exciting fishing action right off the pier! ||6) Added bonus, they offered a reasonably priced shuttle service from Rhinelander, which was an added perk for our out of town family member. ||||Overall, Timber Bay Resort offers a sweet location with well kept ,clean, rustic styled cabins you think of when you want to...

This is the second year in a row I have come up to Timber Bay with my family and it is by far one of the best places to get away from it all and relax. The cabin I have been in (same both years) is well kept and very clean. Things included in the kitchen are your standard; dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. There is great access to White Sand Lake via long peirs which are also great places to hang out and take a dip in the crystal clear water. The lake itself has some great fishing spots filled with largemouth, smallmouth, walleye, and pike. There is Wi-Fi in the cabins if you need it and the owners, Shawn and Darcy, are wonderful people.
