Stayed here for one night while hiking in the area. For a Saturday night stay, we paid $268 which is on the pricer side for what the hotel was offers. Room was clean and spacious; we had a 2 queen bed with sofa on the 2nd floor. Plenty of parking and they had breakfast. Front desk lady who checked me in was friendly. They don’t have an elevator so if stairs are a no go then you’d want to request a room on the first floor. The door by the stairs is exit only which was inconvenient since you had to walk around in the parking lot and enter through the lobby. There was a card reader on the outside of the door so they should consider fixing it so it can be used as an entrance. Coffee in the lobby was weak in flavor, very light. Breakfast options were limited. Only hot options were microwaved eggs and bacon and you can toast English muffin. A waffle maker would have been nice. Since they don’t have a gym, there wasn’t a water fountain in the hotel. While they did have a pitcher of water, it was small and not really effective for the whole hotel to use.

** PLEASE LIKE & SHARE OUR REVIEWS ** Please note : hotel is dog friendly but does not permit other animals. Also, there is not an elevator on site. 2nd floor requires luggage being carried up. Can request assistance to help on stairways. Breakfast was small but fresh and had healthy options. Coffee was medium strong and there are tea and hot chocolate options. There are hot breakfast sandwiches at the front desk offered upon request. They have a dining area, living room hamgout spot & business center. Staff is courteous and efficient. We heard 0 noise during our stay and had fun outside playing near the picnic area. Rolled in at 230am. Front desk had us checked in quickly. It is Christmas holiday but plenty of availability. Beautiful room. Very clean.

This was such an enjoyable stay - no problems - everything worked and everything I needed was there. Nice clean, large, modern rooms. Comfortable beds. The facility is well-maintained and the property well-lit. This is not a high-end hotel that treats you like royalty. It is a basic hotel that treats you like family. Staff was courteous, professional and welcoming. Although breakfast was only a continental breakfast, microwavable breakfast sandwiches were available. Overall, well-run operation.

I'd like to start off this review with a personal request for those who stay at any hotel who are part of a large wedding/bridal/bachelor party and I hope you'll respect the request from the perspective that it comes from...

When your large party comes back to the hotel after an event, late at night, the halls of that hotel are not there for you to congregate and have loud conversations while other guests are sleeping.

For some reason, it seems common that those in a large party group return to a hotel and just completely seem to forget that it's a place where people are trying to get a good night's rest.

So, my girlfriend and I were in the area for the annual Headless Horseman event up the road. We chose this particular hotel six months in advance (as hotels around this area sell out quickly for October) as it was not only close to the event but also remarkably inexpensive.

I am a Hampton Inn kind of guy. I am used to their level of offerings, particularly their breakfast. Best Western Plus is usually my second choice which can be fairly close in providing the same level of value and breakfast. To date, I have never stayed at a Surestay, which while part of the Best Western family, seems to fall in the lower spectrum of their brand.

The front desk personnel were exceptional. Check-in was very easy. We were given a room at the very end of the first floor. As we took the long walk down the hall, we noticed white ribbons on many of the doors. My girlfriend and I sighed as we immediately knew that there was a wedding party staying there. And true to expectations, the party arrived back around 9 p.m. and was quite audible in the hallways. I was awoken at 1:30 a.m. by loud hallway conversations right outside my door. It was just remarkable that these individuals thought they could carry on this way, in the hall, and not bother anyone who was sleeping. And of course, the hotel personnel did nothing about it as I am certain they must have heard the ruckus at the nearby front desk.

The rooms are average. They are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. However, there is no closet space to be had anywhere which we found to be quite odd.

The continental breakfast is a complete joke compared to what you get at Hampton Inn or Best Western Plus. There is no hot food, though you can request frozen biscuits from the front desk to throw into the microwave. They were not very good at all. The wrapped pastries were really bad. Perhaps the best items offered were yogurt and cereal. The coffee was not very tasty. Since we are staying two days here (we are still at the hotel), we have already decided to skip the free breakfast tomorrow morning and go to a nearby diner instead. Sorry, but the continental breakfast is just completely lackluster.

And here's one more issue that I would not have known about if I didn't catch it mentioned in another review....if you stay more than one night your room will not be cleaned/towels replaced unless you specifically hang a door plaquard requesting it. Nobody at the front desk bothers to tell you that.

In all, it's not a bad place to stay if you can get a room for under $130 a night. It's clean and comfortable which are two of the most important things you want to look for in an...

We have stayed here in the past on a few occasions and never had any issues until this last time. On our way home from Maine to PA, we stayed here for 1 night along with my parents. A few days after we returned home, my mom noticed a $300 fee on her credit card. She called the hotel and was told it was a cleaning fee for smoking in the room. My mom explained that it was a mistake because they are not and never have been smokers. She was told to email the manager, Dorothy. My mom emailed Dorothy and explained that this had to be a mistake and asked that the fee be removed. Dorothy's response was rude and unprofessional. She told my mom that they had photographic evidence that my they had smoked Marijuana cigarettes in the room. Dorothy included a photo of the so-called evidence that looked completely staged. My mom again responded that this was a mistake. Dorothy then responded that maybe someone else in her party entered her room and smoked. My mom told her to look at the cameras. The only people that went to their room was me to ask them what they wanted for dinner and then my husband to drop off their dinner. My parents are both in their upper 70s with health issues. Neither of them have ever smoked anything, let alone Marijuana. Each time my mom tried to plead her case with the manager, Dorothy's responses were snarky and rude. She told my mom to dispute it with the credit card company (which she did, and the fee was removed). The credit card company was extremely nice to my mom and helped her with the dispute. They said hotels do this all the time to unsuspecting guests. I don't know if the hotel tried to make a few extra bucks off my parents thinking that they were elderly and wouldn't notice the extra charge or if someone working at the hotel smoked the Marijuana and then tried to place the blame on my parents to cover it up. Regardless, we absolutely will not be staying there again and I caution anyone who does to make sure you check your credit card statement...

I checked in on September 1st. When got in room the floor was sticky. No microwave. I went to front desk to see if they can clean it I was told house keeping would take care of it. I left for the day. When I got back that night it wasn't taken care of. I September 2 I put towels on floor do to I tried to clean the floor. I left for the day. When I got back to room at night house keeping never came it clean. I went to front desk to get towels and ask why room was not cleaned. I was told I need to put sign on door to refresh room. On September 3 I put the sign on door house keeping just came in to change towels didn't do any thing else. On September 4 I again put sign on door. House keeping only exchange towels nothing else. On September 5 I put sign on door again housekeeping never came in room . I went to front desk to make complaint and get toilet paper which now there is none in room. On September 6 again I put sign on door nothing was done. I went to desk and complained again. I asked how do I get room cleaned. Was told she would talk to house keeping. Now on September 7 house keeping still just changed towels. I put garbage out side of door and went to front desk to get clean towels. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. When I leave in the morning the cart and 2 women are in the hall. So why doesn't the rooms get cleaned? On September 8 house keeping never went in room at all. When I went to front desk again for towels there were 2 other people asking for towels. I have had also made complaints about people upstairs running across room till 3am this went on 2 evenings I was told they are checking out today. That night the room next to me was screaming and banging door at 1am I went to front desk I said to lady I can't believe she didn't here them. the lady said she will take a walk. You shouldn't advertise breakfast when it is grab and go kids snacks. I do not recommend booking...
