09/25/2023 Well here we are, Jan and I are back a week from our second trip this year at Blue Lake Pines and it just keeps getting better, we just can't get enough. The grounds are just as beautiful as ever. Jan and I stayed in Clearwater and Bluewater this year. Improvements seem to be made yearly even though they don't seem to be needed. The fire pit and grilling area were relocated for 2023. The stairs, going down to the boat doc were improved. Great for an old guy like me. Being our first stay at Bluewater we used, may I call it the lounging dock. Great for our morning cup of coffee admiring beautiful Blue Lake. Blue Lake Pines Lodge & Suites just keeps calling us back. All I can say is, see you on the water in 2024.
My wife Jan and I just came back from our tenth stay at Blue Lake Pines. We found this wonderful resort ten years ago when Jan asked me to take her on a fishing trip. What a wonderful surprise when we arrived. The water in the lake is gin clear, wonderful!! The fishing is really good and we caught a verity of great tasting fish.As I said the first five times Jan and I came up to Blue Lake Pines it was a fishing trip. Yes we did appreciate the beautiful grounds and well kept suits. But this time we did not come up to fish, this really lead to Tim's confusion. No we just came for the beauty and tranquility and got it. Tim and Peggy have put their hearts into making this wonderful resort a jewel. I have been coming up to the Minocqua area since I was five years old and have never experienced any place like this.
All I can say is this is not your 60s Wisconsin fishing resort. It is a bit of heaven. What are you waiting for?
Well here we are June 2025. Jan and I are back from Blue Lake Pines a week. This trip we stayed in the new cabin Brite Water. Once again Peggy and Tim hit it out of the park. The suite is really sweet. Bright, cozy and comfortable.
Nothing left to say that I haven’t said in my past reviews. Correction! I have said Blue Lake is not a fishing resort. Don’t let me steer you wrong. You can and will catch fish, if you work at it. Stop by the lodge and see my monster northern pike from July of 2024. Better yet, I will be making my second trip to Blue Lake Pines July 18th through August 4th stop by and see me. Let‘s swap some stories. See ya on the lake.
Thank you and bless you Peggy and...
Read moreWe stayed in the Clear Water cabin which was very clean and very beautiful inside, with a very nice 60” tv that unfortunately did not work right away when we arrived. We had to wait 2 1/2 hours for the manager to come and fix that problem. Then unfortunately a bad storm caused a power outage the next night and power could not be resolved for a couple days so we were refunded our money for the rest of the week. The place is very peaceful and quiet but I was disappointed in the view from our patio. Many, many trees blocked the view of the lake so we had to climb down the stairs to the pier-to see the lake. I think it would have been a very nice vacation if we would have stayed because there are lots of things to do...
Read moreHi Tim. We have had a great time here at Blue Lake Pines. We caught a lot of fish and a lot of sun. We enjoyed eagles, loons, ducks, all manner of wildlife. The suite is very clean and comfortable. The dock below Bluewater is starting to come apart. Have you given any thought to replacing it with something similar to the other one? It would be a lot easier to use, especially for us older folks. More convenient to get in and out. Also the steps here in front of Bluewater are more convenient and safer for us to use. We very much look forward to visiting again. Thank you, Mike...
