Black Lake Cottages — Hotel in Town of Morristown

We really enjoyed BLCs this summer. Many of our summer trips have us staying in hotels, but Lee’s cottages were fantastic, and the ability to have a comfortable space to log in to work and get a few things done was so reassuring (even though the whole point is to get away from that stuff!) Having so many of the comforts of home (like a Roku TV so the kids had all their streaming options from home) was clutch. Everything my wife needed to pull off a fancy dinner (and invite Lee) was right there in the kitchen. The water options were terrific too. We could swim from the dock or beach or jump off the boat in the lake. The fishing is top notch too. Great fun gathering at the fire pit at night with other guests. I visited Black Lake Cottages recently. The moment I pulled in to the driveway, any stress I had melted instantly away. The lake is beautiful and the cottages charming, rustic and welcoming. I forgot what it was like to go back to the basics of happiness: family, a log cabin, s’mores over the fire pit and sipping a glass of wine from an Adirondack chair facing the lake. An amazing place for a family vacation. I was able to rent a cottage directly on the website and the owner, Lee, immediately sent me a welcome text in addition to the automated confirmation email. Nice personal touch.
