1. Cleanliness: Everything was clean except there was splatter on the bathroom wall near the toilet. I’ll spare you my guesses as to what it was, but I’m omitting it as the rest of the room was spotless. Owners, if you see this, the above should be addressed in room 3. 2. Bedding/Room: Bed’s were comfy and the room was perfectly themed for The Adirondacks. Just know your bed sizes, because the room we stayed in had full beds not queens that you see in most places. 3. Amenities: We didn’t stay long and it was during the winter, but there were plenty of pretty gathering areas that took advantage of the view. They also had basic/simple breakfast and coffee in the main office. Pets are allowed with a fee. 4. Location: Beautiful view of some mountains from the front, main pavilion, and fire pit. 5. People: I only spoke with someone over the phone twice and they left welcoming notes in the room.

We've stayed at Cobble Mountain Lodge twice now and love it so much! You really can't beat the location- it's only about 5 minutes to the main strip in Lake Placid, but is far enough that it still feels peaceful and secluded! It's central to so many different things whether you're interested in nature, food, shopping... there's something for everyone and the views are gorgeous! The staff was so kind and helpful too- we were able to reach them at anytime (and via text which was a real plus!) The cabins and rooms are so cozy and very clean! There's also an outdoor firepit which is covered so if you visit in winter like we have you're still able to enjoy it! Hands down our favorite place to stay when we're in the area!

We stayed here for a quick weekend of hiking in the lake placid area. The lodge is nicely appointed with either small traditional rooms or cabins with kitchenettes for use. We booked a room but got upgraded to a cabin. We found the cabin to be comfortable covering all the needs we have for a stay. We even have the option to cook on site or do some light cooking in room on either the grills or hot plates. The staff was very friendly and even accommodated switching our reservation dates when we had an emergency and had to reschedule. Based on the location , the service and the price we will be back.

Visiting the Adirondacks for the first time, and excited to do several days of hiking in the area, my wife and I spent four nights at Cobble Mountain Lodge in early October of 2023. This place far exceeded my expectations!

The location was perfect for us; close to, but far enough away from, downtown Lake Placid. The lodge has a rustic-feel, but the buildings seem brand new and have very modern amenities. Our cabin was meticulously clean, super comfortable, and was stocked with everything needed for our stay. Vehicle parking was just outside the cabin, making it easy to load gear in and out when needed. On several nights, utilizing the wood-burning fire pits just outside the cabins, we made friends and had great conversations with other visiting guests while sitting in Adirondack chairs, that are in no shortage, all over the property. (Everyone we spoke to also had positive things to say about their stays at the lodge.) The lodge also had a propane-fed fire pit, which came on automatically for 5 hours every evening. We didn't utilize it, but it's just another example of the pride and attention to detail that the owners and operators of this property have for it. The practically brand new propane grills were perfect for cooking on our own, allowing us to enjoy more time outdoors, eating healthier, and saving money.

The staff of Cobble Mountain Lodge are extremely professional, kind, easy going, sincere, and seem genuinely happy to be working there. Seeming to not overlook any details, the staff seems to take pride in not only the appearance and perception of the lodge itself, but also that its guests are comfortable and enjoying their stay. A big THANK YOU to staff members Dianne and Starr, who unnecessarily went out of their way to help make our stay more relaxing and memorable. It's refreshing to know that there are still sincerely good people, like them, in the service industry, who want to make sure guests are having a great experience.

Cobble Mountain Lodge was a big factor in our unforgettable Adirondack vacation. I can't say enough about it, and am thankful that places like it still exist. I'm already looking forward to my...

My wife, pup and I have stayed at the Cobble Mountain Lodge 3 times so far, with 2 more trips booked for the future. Our last stay was a total of 4 nights and made up half of our honeymoon. We have stayed in the 1 room attached cabin twice and an unattached apartment that sleeps 6 with a loft once. The small cabins are very cute and comfortable. They are perfect for short stays with a friend or partner. The apartment has a cool loft overlooking the kitchen/living space and a separate bedroom. Our favorite part inside the cabin is the gas fireplace! It added a very rustic and homey feeling while still being super easy to operate. Outside, we had a private yard with a fire pit, bbq and picnic table. The setup was awesome. The folks who work here are very friendly and approachable. They did a wonderful job helping us when we asked and provided us with the privacy we very much enjoy. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Cobble Mountain Lodge during 2 of our stays. He was very friendly and even played with our pup. It's obvious for him this is just not a business but also a passion. Looking forward to...
