We chose to stay at Sunset cabins and RV Park graduation weekend May 2022. We had a big party and we thought the space would be nice. We rented 3 cabins for our group. The location of the park is nice, itâs right across from Bevâs ice cream and Rudyâs fish fry. The cabins were clean but as the website advertised, old and rustic. One of the cabins we got was Cabin 16, the largest of the cabins. After looking at cabin eight and cabin 15, which is what my daughter and my sister got, I was disappointed in cabin 16. There was no front covered porch like the all the other cabins had and no air conditioner like 15 and 8. But quite honestly youâre camping or rather Glamping so do you really need an air conditioner.. no!! This really was not a huge deal for me but I figured I would just mention it. The biggest of the deal quite frankly was no front porch I really missed it and went up sitting on my sisters or my daughterâs front porch. Another issue, minor complaint, is the garage/shed was right in front of my cabin. I really think that shed could been moved someplace else. They were In and out of that shed during the day doing work, opening up the pool, and at one point they left what looked like a enormous lawnmower on and running, making terrible noise for just under an hour. My sister actually went to go complain and asked if they could shut the lawnmower off. I understand that they have to do work but I really wish it wasnât between the two cabins literally 10 feet from my front door. The owners of the facility are all very nice, everybody was great and overall we had a very nice stay. I only point out my complaints hoping that when this is read by the owners this would be something that maybe they can approve upon. I would recommend staying here, especially if youâre a SUNY Oswego parent and youâre looking for for some place to stretch out, build a bonfire, and have a little more elbow room than what a typical hotel room can give you. This place is only open May until October, understandably, so will be best for those graduation weekends, pick up weekends or drop off weekends in August. Bottom line great time had by all and I would stay here again. Btw cabin 8 and 15 |, I...

Read moreWe stayed in the larger cabin for 2 nights. Not having been there before and arriving after dark the parking at the cabin was confusing as we didnt expect to park on grass. There was an issue of the pull out couch being dirty. We remedied that situation. In the big scheme of things this was the worst of it and the pros far outweighed the cons. After all this isnt a hotel its a lake cabin/campsite. With that there were more amenities than typically expected. There was a fan and an A/C unit which ran great. There were kitchen utensils and a refrigerator and all were clean. Its a bit antiquated however that is stated in the Website so you would expect this given the age of the park. It is close by to the town but not so much that you dont feel like you are camping. For as crowded as it appeared it was very peaceful at night. The views of Lake & Stars are wonderful. There is also an inground swimming pool/area that was very clean. The best part of this RV Park are the people who care for it. Bob (owner) Theresa (Office) are wonderful, relaxed down to earth people. Very personable and helpful for the area. The Email & Phone conversations prior to arriving made us feel welcome and reassured. Once we arrived they went out of their way to make us feel at home. If you are looking to stay here and have questions I would suggest emailing the Park and asking. They are very good about communicating. If you're looking for a nice getaway to experience the Lake and wonderful area of Oswego staying at Sunset RV will definitely enhance...
