My husband and I (plus our dog-love they are dog friendly) stayed at the Reclaimed Motel for a night away. Living in the Hudson Valley and visiting Red Hook/Rhinebeck often, we were familiar with the property. We’ve been following the owners’ journey on Instagram, so we saw the tremendous amount of work and upgrades that went into the remodel of the motel. We love how each room is so uniquely designed with repurposed and eclectic pieces and enjoy the bright + cheerful retro color palette used. With our overnight stay, we got to appreciate all the thoughtful touches they put into the room(s) and the overall guest experience. It’s evident this was a true labor of love. From the well-sized, clean room, the large custom bed with a comfortable mattress and soft linens to the living area with lounger (I believe also custom) looking onto the gas fireplace creates a warm and cozy area. Absolutely love that all 10 rooms have their own private deck overlooking a mountainous view (perfect spot to catch a gorgeous HV sunset)! The bathroom was large and lux feeling with heated floors. Smaller touches like a kettle for coffee and tea, snacks, water and a fridge plus entertainment elements like a turntable with records and smart tv really offers the amenities needed for a comfortable and fun stay. Should you need ice, other snacks or drink there is even a cute little vending room with essentials. Before check out we were sure to enjoy time in the outdoor cider sauna. The private location, temperature and view were perfect and oh so serene! You don’t even have to pack your robe because they provide large, lush ones should you decide to use the sauna. Overall, highly recommend for a lovely, relaxing stay! We will surely visit again soon.

This is a very special place. The room has so much style and thoughtful touches, from a charming kettle for tea and coffee in your room to a turntable with fun albums provided or the option bring your own. The balcony door opens wide and acts as an extension of the room; the balcony itself is very wide and roomy and entirely covered, so even when it rained we could sit outside and enjoy the mountains in the distance. The king bed was so comfortable with sparkling white luxe sheets. The nice size bathroom has both a wide round shower head as well as a handheld shower option. The room was super clean. We took advantage of the two-person sauna which worked beautifully and was also super clean and welcoming. There are even robes for you to use for the sauna or for your room in the vending room which also has ice, water plus snacks and drinks for sale using the honor system. Red Hook is a tiny town that is 5 minutes down the road and the only reason I gave the location a 4 is because you can't really walk anywhere if that's what you're looking for - you do have to hop in your car. It is also on a slightly busy street so you will hear cars driving by which did not bother me but something worth noting if you're looking for only the sound of nature. Otherwise, it really is a wonderful spot with helpful hosts and both style and substance... There is a photo album in the room explaining how the owners transformed what used to be a slightly sketchy spot into a warm, charming respite from which you can explore the area.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Reclaimed Motel for one night this past weekend and had the most wonderful experience! We were looking for a cute place upstate to stay for a quick trip and the motel exceeded our expectations. The motel was so unique and our room was so cozy and extremely clean. We took full advantage of our in-room record player, enjoyed some hot tea in the morning on our private deck area and popped into the sauna briefly before our check out. We were bummed not to be able to use the beautiful fire pit due to the rain, but other than the weather there were no complaints! The check in process was seamless and we had no problems finding our room or getting access. We really appreciated the in-room booklet on how the motel came together as well as local recommendations since we weren't familiar with the area. Everything about this place and its management is extremely thoughtful and you can tell a lot of love and care was put into its restoration. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area and would 100% recommend Reclaimed Hotel to anyone looking for a quaint, unique stay anywhere in the Hudson area!

One, I wish I could give more than 5 stars and two, you honestly have to see it to truly get how cool this place is!

We had 12 people traveling from Boston, DC, Pittsburg, Charlotte, Atlanta and South Florida for a family event. None of us knew the area and it was just a leap of faith to book 6 of the currently 7 rooms. (There are more rooms and parts of the property being remodeled.) The owner was extremely polite when I booked the rooms and communicated frequently before the time of our trip. I thought, if nothing else, it looked more interesting than a chain hotel and it would make for an interesting story.

Then we got there and started checking out the rooms. WOW! Each room was spotless and uniquely and beautifully decorated. Comfy king-size beds...extra-thick towels...available roll-away beds...bathrooms that were both new and designed with a retro feel. The majority of our group was 20 to 32-year-olds. They LOVED the records and record players in each room. They kept talking about the design choices (fixtures, furniture, accessories) and things they would love for their homes. The rooms are huge! Nine of us sprawled out comfortably one night, listening to records with the basketball game on TV in the background.

We had an easy self-serve check-in, with door codes sent to our phones. While we never needed them, we did have the pleasure of meeting the owners. They are so great that we are on a mission to make sure that they succeed!! They are doing everything right - thoughtful and quality remodel, commitment to keeping the mid-century/60s vibe and fantastic customer service. Now they just need time to have enough people stay to build up their reviews. I'm sure all reviews will be excellent!

Great job Kendra and Jared!

See glowing review above. Motel is approximately 3 miles from the center of town. Cute shops and great...

The Reclaimed Motel is one of the best stay and travel experiences I've had to date. The motel is unique and charming-- a real gem.The place supported both rest and creativity. I stayed with my husband during a weekend in June, and we explored Red Hook, Rhinebeck, and Kingston. Some highlights amongst perhaps dozens: In Rhinebeck we enjoyed the best farmers market we've ever been too (although maybe tied with Santa Fe's); in Kingston we discovered the Cacao Laboratory-- which for me was nirvana; as well as numerous independent bookstores and one-of-a-kind shops. The Reclaimed Motel is situated in an awesome area with so much to do, see, experience, eat, and imbibe. I loved The Reclaimed Motel's decor and the thoughtful and quirky mid-century touches. I loved the outdoor area which has a fire pit, which I hope to enjoy during our next visit. I loved the view from our bed, which includes a private porch, wildflower garden, bees, moths, birds, and beyond route 9, fields trees, and the rolling mountains. One night we watched, from our bed, the sun set behind the mountains. It was magical. And speaking of the bed (and pillows)-- super comfortable. Though check-in and access to rooms are done with a door code, during our stay we had the privilege of meeting the owners, Kendra and Jared, who were so personable. They introduced us to Mighty Donuts, which was phe-no-me-nal! I'm so happy Kendra and Jared reclaimed, revitalized, renewed, revamped, and reimagined this place; it was such a fun and restorative experience....
