Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins — Hotel in Town of Schroon

We heard good things about the Schroon Lakes Motel and Cabins and needed a place to stay when the motel we had booked a one week stay in, was not clean. The owners Susan and Dan and Susan's brother John made us feel safe and welcome. They wanted to turn our bad experience with the other motel into a GREAT experience with them. Dan was even going to call the other place to get us a refund! Luckily the owner of the other place had already refunded us our stay.

Schroon Lakes Motel and Cabins are in the process of renovating the rooms and the property itself. The rooms are very spacious and almost totally renovated. There is a refrigerator with a small freezer section. There is a place to hang clothes. A coffee station is well stocked with everything a considerate host has available. The queen sized beds were comfortable. They even installed a bar in the bathroom as we are seniors and they wanted us to be safe. Everything was spotless!

The hospitality we felt from this family is unique in this day and age. This a family owned and operated business and they do all the motel functions themselves. The rooms were impeccably clean, offering a rustic charm while still providing modern comforts like WiFi, air conditioning, and essential kitchen appliances. It was the perfect balance of cozy and convenient.

Our boys had a blast down by the lake, skipping stones and taking in the scenery. Each evening, we gathered around the bonfire for s'mores and enjoyed quality family time.

We decided to stay at this property because of the great reviews and reasonable price -- we were not disappointed. It was a bit difficult to find a hotel in the Adirondacks when we decided to go at the last minute. We hadn't been to the area before and didn't know that Schroon Lake is a lovely, vibrant town popular with tourists. There are many restaurants and plenty of outdoor activities. The Schroon Lake Motel and Cottages had availability for a very reasonable price. Their motel units are recently remodeled. The rooms are attractive, very clean and a good size.
