My teen daughter and I stayed here two years ago, as a last minute decision later in the evening during a softball tournament. At that time, it seemed more run down. The vending machine took our money, and the washer and dryer were out of service, BUT the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, it seemed very safe, and the employees were very kind and helpful!! Since we really only needed to sleep there for the night and be out by 6:30am, it worked just fine.
Because of the beds, location, and employees, we booked two nights for her softball tournament again this past weekend. Did I think we were booking a room at a luxury hotel? No! Did I expect that kind of experience? No! But this property had what we needed, when we needed it, for a reasonable price. I'm glad that Wyndham has so many experience levels to choose from with their hotels. Sometimes a budget hotel gets the job done!
This property has been updated since then! The vending machines worked great and looked much newer. The washer and dryer worked wonderfully!
The staff at check in were so very nice and hospitable, and also as we encountered them throughout our stay. They even offered an upgrade at check in, but we chose to stick with our original 2-queen room (my daughter doesn't sleep well with others lol). Everything looked very clean, including our room, the pool, and the breakfast area.
The beds and pillows were even more comfortable than the place I stayed a few weeks ago, for DOUBLE the price. Breakfast was light, but we don't really do breakfast, so it didn't matter much to us. They do have cereal and milk, make your own waffles, yogurt, bread to toast, and juices/coffee (and maybe more things that I didn't see), from what I saw when I grabbed a cup of coffee. We really just needed a clean, safe, and comfy place to rest our heads each night after softball and dinners. This was perfect for us.
The room had a microwave, larger sized mini fridge, safe, lower resolution tv, no coffee maker, and a great a/c that you can set to have the fan on constantly, which I love.
I would 100% stay here...
Read moreI booked a Jacuzzi room on 12/24/24 (Christmas Eve) and was assured it was pet friendly from the Wyndham representative. And after driving hours and upon arrival I was refused the room and given another room of lesser value but was still charged the higher rate. Also very odd they would only take the pet fee in cash.
There was only one gentleman who unfortunately could not speak English and was doing the check in on the phone over speaker phone with the manager. The manager said it's not his problem that Wyndham said that the jacuzzi room would be pet friendly and to take it up with Wyndham.
I called Windham and their representative recommended that I rent a room from someplace else and check out from the one I was in because I was only there for an hour or so and was instructed to call and let them know that I had checked out.
The Wyndham representative said that I would be made whole. And I never was, I was only given 3,000 points worth $50 on a room that I paid $120 for.
I have been charged and not been refunded like I was promised from Wyndham.
All of this should be on file when I called Wyndham and all of this should have been recorded when I was on the phone, nobody ever got back to me. I had to get tossed back and forth within Wyndham for hours on the phone to get only 50 dollars in points.
Who would I call at the daysinn to get this settled? Because it was the manager who said it's not...
