We stayed at The Inn last night for the 1st time. We had had a late great evening with friends and decided that driving home made no sense. We secured a room and headed for the shuttle. At some point there after, we lost a wallet and cell phone. We waited until morning to pursue the situation further as we'd reported the loss to the Casino Security and hoped it would be turned in. In the morning we used our Find Phone app and realized the phone was likely in or at The Inn (which made no sense because we lost them, while still at the Casino). The front desk supervisor, Amber Lynn, was empathetic and helpful beyond the call of duty (which I cannot say the same for the Casino Security). She followed respectful protocol to her other guests while giving us all of the assistance that she could. All of her staff were equally empathetic, helpful and professional in every manner. She called the police, for us, at a point when it deemed the next logical step. Through respectful and legal steps, our wallet and phone were given to the police and returned to us. You can imagine the stress and emotional level we'd reached. We are so grateful to the entire staff. Also, we were very pleased with the room. The towels were soft, the room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was well supplied and homey. We...
Read moreThis place does not feel like it is a part of turning Stone at all.. besides not being anywhere near the casino it feels very run down.
The room had a bathroom door that wouldn't close or lock because the strike plate wasn't even close to where the latch was, when we notified the front desk they had no idea about this somehow even though it's clear it's been like that for years. They offered us to move to another room on the second floor which was apparently the only available option even though almost the entire hotel was empty on a sat night, there were only 6 cars in the entire parking lot. We chose to decline because we didn't want to carry all our bags up the stairs since there is also no elevator... In the hallway there was also what looked like a large power cable running from a room, down the hall into another room next to it, just very weird. Also the side door that's supposed to lock at 9pm apparently doesn't lock so there is free access to the hotel at night without going through the front desk, not very safe feeling.
Getting back to our room the split unit also didn't work right, we set the temp down to 62 and it still kept blowing heat in the room keeping it about 75. It was very warm and stuffy all night. It didn't feel right to turn on a/c when it's only 12...
Read moreMy hubby and I recently stayed here to attend the Empire State Elvis Tribute Festival at the Turning Stone Casino. The staff including "Tommy" were so friendly and helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. The location was great only about a mile up the road from the casino. There was a 24 hr shuttle that was very convenient so we didn't have to drive our car every time we wanted to go to and from the Casino. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were sooooo comfortable that we didn't want to get out of them. There is a refrigerator in the rooms which also was convenient to have. The only things that I would highly recommend were a soap dish at the bathroom sink so the soap doesn't slide everywhere when your trying to use it and a grab bar to the left of the bathtub to help us older people out of it. On a side note there is no elevator so you will need to carry your bags up the stairs to the rooms on the 2nd floor which could be difficult for some people. We had the Continental breakfast on the day we left and it was enough to get us going for the ride home. Will definitely stay here again when we...
