This past weekend we were here visiting family. When arriving we realized a hotel we booked was nearly 48 minutes away which would have been a lot on gas and just too far to drive from all of the festivities. The hotel across from my family's town was all booked and there left the executive inn. A family member informed us of this hotel stating its cheap and decent for the price. We were skeptical and read many horrible reviews which made us second guess going to the executive inn. We decided to go check it out. The front desk attendant allowed us to view a room before purchasing. From what I saw it was impressive. The hotel was renovated and nicely put together from the previous year where they had less than satisfactory reviews. We went ahead and booked a full weekend stay. My experience was nothing but pleasant. The area was peaceful and quiet. The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff was friendly. I can honestly say we slept like babies every night! If you are ever in the area and need a nice clean room that's inexpensive then the Execuitive Inn is where you should stay. I would like them to know I thoroughly enjoyed my...
Read moreRoom 107 smelled like a sewer. I asked for a different room and when I told the clerk it smelled like a sewer his reply was "I know". If he knew it smelled why was the room rented? Was given room 102, not smelly but not clean. The towels were paper thin, the mattress was old, lumpy and worn out, the sheets had seen better days years ago, the pillows are thin and uncomfortable. At 1:30 am the fridge started to make a racket, I unplugged it so I could sleep. The bathroom was a disaster, someone tried to update the shower with a new wall lining but it covered most of the drain and they used door threshold as a means to prevent water from the shower flowing on to the floor and the large towel was placed on the floor to absorb water splashing from the drippy shower head. Also, the parking lot is full of pot holes. I would recommend avoiding this place like the plague. In short the best description for this motel is a dump!||||As for the rave reviews by others, I can only assume they were either written by the owners or their...
Read moreIf you are on a budget this place is just fine. The rooms are clean and free of infestations of any type. The gentleman who checked us in is very nice and he will make sure you are comfortable during your stay. I gave this Inn four stars for those who are on a budget, not for the purposes of implying amenities that do not exist. It is a good place to stay and is convenient to trails, restaurants, and shopping. If you like fancy, this isn't it. But if you're just a country-type person who understands and appreciates simplicity, this is the place for you. Enjoy your visit to Troy NC and I encourage you to visit Uwharrie National Park trails as well as the nearby Native American Indian...
