DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Very disappointed. It reminds me why I rarely let my boss book my rooms for training. Starting off my first thing is the front desk staff. The guy working the desk this morning (9/26/2018) was very rude. I went down for the complimentary breakfast. I got a bagel (strangely small), a muffin (even smaller), a cup of coffee (one cup option and it's very small) and a small cup of OJ (average). I was walking out of the breakfast room to go sit on the patio because the weather was beautiful this morning, and he stopped me and told me that food wasn't allowed in the rooms.... HUH? I explained to him that I was walking outside to sit on their patio by the pool (which was closed). He told me no that wasn't an option. Now keep in mind, they have a Subway in the building and they have a front desk store that sells food and drink items. So I'm a bit confused on this "policy". Now lets get to the condition of the property. Needless to say the covers over the walkways is nasty. The paint is chipping and falling and water leaks through during the rain. The locking mechanism on the door (Rm 150) is all but broken. I usually had to run my card 3-4 times and yank down on the lever to get it to disengage. So at night I made sure both deadbolts were locked because I wasn't sure the latch had locked. Now this is very necessary because there were some very unsavory types walking around at night. Again I will never be back but I hope this will help you from making the mistake of making a reservation here. So now more about the room. As you can see from the pictures, the bathtub bottom is stained (excessively). A big part of this you will find out as you take a shower and realize that the tub was not set properly and therefore it is slow to drain which in turn traps dirt at the back of the shower. The shower head leaks and you end up with a small waterfall running off the bottom of it. On a positive note there is great water pressure and it was hot. The toilet just looks nasty. It is a very low, round toilet. The lid was loose and would slide around when you sat down on it. As you can see in the pics it was missing one of the bolt covers and you can see all the nasty piss around it because it's not been cleaned properly. As you look at the tile in the bathroom vanity area you will see the grout lines. You can see the difference in the colors of the grout which once again show how dirty it is and how it's not being cleaned properly. Looking at the ceiling you can see all the lines in the sheet rock, despite the super heavy "popcorn" texture which can usually hide even the worst of sheet rock work. You will also notice where all the leaks have been and the poor attempts at patching. The carpet looks like it's out of a 1970's house. There is a laundry room on site but I just can't imagine putting clothes in it based on the condition of every other area of the hotel. The TV worked fine despite the fact that their channel guide is outdated and the listed channels don't match the actual TV service. When I'm leaving I always pull my sheets and place them in a pile on the bed so that the housekeepers will have to replace them (Yes I've been in a room where I pulled down the bed sheets to find that it was obvious they hadn't been changed). As I pulled my sheets I found this nice stain on them (see pic). I also found that the mattress cover wasn't even zipped up on the bed (see pic). And last but not least considering that I'm on a business trip, the desk chair kept sinking as I sat and worked on my class work in the evening. SO did I ever call the front desk about these things. Yes I called about my door lock and was told that someone would be by later to look at it. Never seen him come buy unless he came buy while I was in class. Either way it was never fixed. All the other items I didn't feel would improve in another room at the same motel. So what can I say as a positive? Well the bed was actually very comfortable. There was great water pressure and hot water. I would skip this if you...
Read moreWe have been regular patrons of this location, for several years & we have never really had too much of an issue before. Our rooms are usually somewhat clean and the beds usually don't kill us. (they aren't the most comfortable. But I tell myself, that they're only one night.🤷♀️) The only major problems we've ever had is; there is always a lot of trash laying around on the sidewalks and there is usually sketchy riff raff, normally hanging around outside. My hubby is always with me... so I am not usually worried about that. Sadly, the location is perfect for our needs. We travel to Tulsa frequently, and since they are the closest hotel off the highway, we usually stay there. Never again though! Here's why; Normally, the staff is fine and I would give them each anywhere from a 2 to a 4☆ rating. But this past Friday... I wouldn't have given them zip. The "hotel manager" treated me worse, than I have ever been treated, in my life! Seriously so! We travel with a service dog & we have never been questioned much about her, so I was a bit thrown off when the manager wanted to know why we had her. I told her my husbands diagnosis, but then reminded her that, she isn't really supposed to ask those kind of questions. (I didn't want the hotel to get into any trouble in the future & thought maybe she didn't realize it was a HIPPA violation to ask ?'s) She hatefully accused me of "arguing with her". I was not arguing. But since she questioned the validity of the dog, I told her the dog worked for the government & I would go out to get her badge & registration. (About which she said; "I was a liar. I was arguing & that any proof, would be fake!") She proceeds to scold me like a child, curse at me & refused to look at ANY proof. She said, "bye, go somewhere else" & rudely turned her back to me!!. I had already paid, but didn't get a room key yet, so I did refuse to leave. She would NOT allow me to speak. She yelled over anything I tried to explain to her. I have never been treated so poorly. To be honest, I am still in shock!!! My husband works as a cilvilian for the Federal Bureau of Prisons & BOTH he & the dog MUST be registered with the federal government. They each carry a badge with them at all times, if not, it is a safety & security issue. I only wanted to prove the dogs validity & show her that the dog was trained to go above & beyond exempulary behavior. Instead she charged me a deposit of $100.00 (to which she said would only be $50.00 and that it would be refunded and now they are saying the dog pooped in the room...which is a lie.)🙄 This dog hasn't had an accident, since she was a puppy. My cost at BW was supposed to be slightly under $72.00 for the night. We didn't make the least little bit of a mess. Nothing was broken nor stolen. Yet, as of this writing....I was charged $100.00 extra for having a service dog and the deposit is NOT just pending as a refund. $172.00 per night is absolutely insane, for a run down, no frills Best Western room!!! It may be the perfect location for us, but I will definitely not be going back. Nor would I ever reccommend them again. It's her kind of customer service that will be the downfall of that location. She's a terribly miserable representative, for the hotel. The funny thing was; I tried asking to speak to someone else & she informed me that SHE was the main manager & that I had no one else to turn to! 😳 Thankfully, I found a Quality Inn that is only a couple dollars more, right down the highway. It's much more cleaner and the beds are super comfy. So I no longer need to use their...
Read moreThis place is nice, I like the hotel and the location. But man, the hotel staff were the worst people I have ever dealt with. I first went in to a short stocky woman that asked about my service animals. I then brought in my service cards, but was refuses service. These are my girlfriends service dogs that went to training school and I paid a lot of money to be service animals for. My girlfriend was in a horrible accident that killed the driver and broke her spine, neck, shoulders, and back. I understand you have a policy, but it's her service animals. Then I was approached by a (Indian?)Man that says he was general manager, I then proceeded to ask for the owners number, but he would not. I then told him to look at me so he will actually listen and give me the number. Keep in mind I asked nicely already once before. I was then told to leave and was threatened by this so called man of a general manager. Like bruh, very general manager like behavior. I'm not one to complain, I'm a 20 yr old male that just got off a 12 hour shift and drove 5 hours to get a hotel to go to my cousin's funeral. It is what it is and I'm not mad about it anymore, but please beware of the staff here and make sure you're treated respectfully. Have a great life and a great day 😁
Ps: it smelt really good in there 🤤
After owner comment: We were not kicked out of first hotel, we left because there were roaches and bed bugs. The second hotel we changed because the check in time was at 3 and we tried to get a room at 12 and couldn't wait that long. Third, the owner couldn't say what I lied about because I did not lie. Everything I said was the truth, I was obviously upset about being denied for having two service dogs denied, this owner is very very very childish and if I could leave less than one star, I would. I told the general manager to look at me in the eyes and he got very upset like a childish man. I hope and beg the owner was not the woman because she would not even hear us out or our situation. He then proceeded to threaten me saying, "I'm a man and you're not gonna talk to me like that." I understand you have your pride as a man, but in a business and professional setting, his behavior was ridiculous and uncalled for. I have no reason to care about you or your business, I just want people to know how I was treated. From my perspective, this was the worst experience i have ever had with a hotel, I'm not saying don't come here, I'm just saying I was not treated too great and would have appreciated more respect.
Ps: I was yelling as I was upset, I did not deny this, but you're "manly" general manager was also yelling at me whole throwing...
