I kept my word and finally made time to check out Casa Amigos to see what they’re all about. From the pictures I’d seen, I expected more of a Tex-Mex vibe, but once I looked at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Mexican classics.

Wanting to try something different, I ordered the sirloin steak from the lunch menu, priced at just $10.49. I was curious to see how much value I’d get for that price. While waiting for my food, I decided to check out the bathrooms—something I always do unless a place is clearly unclean from the entrance. To my surprise, Casa Amigos had a well-designed transition area leading to the restrooms, with a pleasant hue of pink adding a nice accent. Inside the men's room, everything was spotless, smelled fresh, and was well-stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.

When I returned to my table, my coffee was waiting for me. My waiter, a young guy who admitted he’d just started recently, seemed a bit nervous. I reassured him not to worry, and he took my order. While waiting, I noticed the steady flow of people coming in for lunch, clearly a sign that this place has a following.

My sirloin steak arrived—a decent cut, about 3/8 of an inch thick. I wish the waiter had asked how I wanted it cooked, but when I cut into it, the steak was tender and cooked well enough. The accompanying rice and ranchero beans complemented the steak nicely. The meal, topped with onions, mushrooms, and cheese, left me feeling satisfied—not too full, not still hungry.

There was a small hiccup at the end. The waiter informed me that their internet was down and asked how I planned to pay. I rarely carry cash, so I told him I’d use my card. Unfortunately, due to the internet issue, he needed to take a picture of my card. I agreed, though it made me uneasy given today’s world. I can only hope they delete the photo once payment is processed. Other customers were in the same situation, and I wondered if a notice had been posted at the entrance to inform people of the issue.

Despite this, I enjoyed my meal. The lunch menu offers great value and a solid selection. I’d definitely return to explore more of their menu, maybe during dinner hours or to try something from the bar.

Thank you for the good food. ¡Gracias!...

Update 3/17/24 My wife and I have dined here several times since our first visit. I see improvements in the food and presentation every time. Today's meal was a fabulous five-star plate. The Wet Verde Burrito! A flour tortilla filled with nothing but delicious flavorful roasted pork; then covered with the best verde sauce I have had. Perfect beans and rice with the meal, served on a scorching hot plate. Don't forget to ask for the fiery, creamy habanero salsa picante. A must have bowl of fire that complements everything! Perfect attentive service.

Back for another visit. We had first tried Casa Amigo shortly after they had opened. Then service was excellent, salsa average, except for the creamy habanero it is fantastic. Then I think the kitchen staff was still becoming familiar with the recipes and presentation on the plate. Today the service was still very good. The mild salsa still needed the habanero salsa mixed with it to bring up the spice and heat level. The meals we had, the Lunch Special, e3 enchiladas with green sauce were, very good! The food here seems to be a little more oriented towards mildly seasoned, traditional Mexican food versus OkieMex. It is a good restaurant that should be on your...

Overnighted in Tulsa and I am sooo glad I found this excellent eatery!

From the moment I turned the corner and set eyes on the exterior of the restaurant, I was very impressed. The exterior was clean, well decorated, and welcoming.

I was greeted at the door and quickly seated. The interior was decorated well and clean.

The place had several families inside enjoying the food and ambiance.

Chips and 2 salsas were on my table in no time. The chips were fresh and salsas very flavorful. One was the tomato-based salsa and the other was a chipotle delight with a bit of a bite. I was also brought out a plate of qrilled onions, jalapenos, tomato and meat. The grilled goodness was amazing!!

I took a look at the menu and found a wide selection of Mexican eats.

I chose the chile colorado plate with a Mexican Coke.

The chile colorado was great. The sauce was excellent and the meat was tender. The beanz and rice tasted very good. Extra points for soft and delicious handmade tortillas.

Overall an outstanding meal!! I will absolutely be back whenever I'm in the area. You will not regret trying this remarkable...

Fast service. Nice people. Good food. Prices are good as well. The big margarita was really big, I couldn’t drink it all.
