This is my first time here, and it’s actually less then a mile from my house. I saw the website and liked the photos, prices and amenities so my friend booked a week trip and it was the first time I got to take my husky camping also. She was so happy, beautiful little cabins, all the other campers were so friendly! And I love that they don’t discriminate dog by breed or size. And all the dogs we got to see and meet, were so well behaved !!

I read some reviews where people complained about things like being too close to others, and I didn’t think it was bad at all. And I saw others complain about noise, especially after hours, not this past weekend. There was the normal noise, during the day, but i loved it, it’s kids making core memories, its happiness and people living in the moment. nothing over the top, one review even was annoyed born a BABY crying 2xs in the night, like that’s someone who doesn’t know how babies work haha. But also at night it was very quiet, all I heard was crickets. And I saw someone complain about it being mostly stone rocks and weeds, or something like that, and I can understand why there isn’t a lot of grass and trees, especially with people having fires going, that can get big, and also I think it helps the dogs that come there not be attacked by ticks and other horrible insects. There are places people can go hiking too close that are awesome.

The go with the flow people who are okay with simplicity, understanding its not a high end Glamp Ground, love it. Those who would prob do better in a hotel, aren’t.

I have an ideas tho for few things , I think they would be a tiny simple addition to cabins but I know myself and others would like it and it’s helpful and convenient. 1. On the screen door on our cabin, there wasn’t a lock and the door could be pushed open easy, even with a door jammer, and if you want to leave the door open, and dogs safe, how about just screwing in a simple hook latch by the screen door? Just figure I’d throw it out there, bc I could of used it with my husky, especially since huskies are Houdini Dogs 😀And maybe even a simple hook also next to the door area, for things guests need quick before they walk out, keys? Dog leash? Umbrella ? Just throwing them out there, just know many people use things like that also. And what about a small tiny coffee pot in the cabins?? They have small hotel size keurig’s or even a 4 cup coffee pot. People would love that!

Oh I just also loved when we were walking around with my dog, and got to see everyone’s RV lots all set up, and there are some really cute and very thought out set ups. Love that people are allowed to make their own space feel like home. And walking we got to Interact with a lot of people and everyone is just so friendly, from the kids to the adults to the pets. So anyone saying people aren’t friendly, it’s probably you.

Will def be coming back!! And being so close to home it’s the perfect spot to go for a...

Service gets two starts since they were able to provide a refund for our stay. When we arrived at Peaceful Woodlands we had just patched a hole in our tire. Instead of having our regular relaxing campfire and evening as we had successfully had all week, we were instantly greeted with an infestation of spiders. Daddy Long Legs yes, but others as well. The Daddy Long Legs were ginormous and we were unable to even sleep at the site that night since they were getting into our tent and multiple were crawling on our feet during our short lived campfire. After a rough night of sleeping in the car, we returned the next morning to retrieve our belongings and speak with the staff, instead of staying for our second reserved night. Upon our return, we found a total of 8 large spiders inside and on the door/tarp, not including our small tent. When we told management about this they were not surprised whatsoever, and had agreed to have a staff member come to help us so we could at least be able to collect our things. The staff never arrived and we were pushed off as lower priority even though we were the only tent site on the property checked in, the rest of the sites were permanent RV’s. In the end, we went back up to the staff office and told them that we were unable to get our tent (8-person tent - had for 6 years) and the staff gave us a full refund for both of the nights reserved. Grateful we got a refund, but very unhappy that there was no warning given the lack of surprise or general concern from the staff once we expressed how uncomfortable and distressing the sites were. THIS IS NOT A FAMILY CAMPSITE. Please save your money or pick a state park, this is certainly not where you’d like to go for a peaceful stay. I appreciate the graciousness of the staff since they were able to provide a refund, but the refund will never replace the memories we lost, and their ignorance stung since we had high expectations for them and their grounds. Peaceful Woodland’s was the 3rd and last campground of our week-long camp trip and it caused us to end our trip 2 days early and miss out on all of the beautiful things the Pocono’s offered. We are heartbroken that the campground was not at all transparent about the infestation, as a lot of the discomfort could have been avoided if we had been given a heads up or given tips on how to combat them. The bathrooms were clean however, there were lot’s of amenities that we never got to check out or look at due to the...

Was not happy with our visit. First let me say that this review is based on our experience and what we like in a campground. And i understand completely that others will have different opinons.

We went this passed memorial day weekend. The place was PACKED! (Understandably) The sites are VERY close together. There was a line of about 5 small trees that divided us from our neighbors. Our firepit was literally 6 feet from our neighbors tent. It was made of stone and dug into the ground so it couldn't be moved. Needless to say we felt cramped all weekend long.

We did like all the surrounding woods and wildlife. We saw deer, chipmunks and birds.

The roads within the campground are all oneway. And NO-ONE seems to understand that. All weekend we were dodging around cars coming up the wrong way.

There were many contradictions to the name "peaceful woodlands". There were a lot of loud atvs that just seemed to be randomly driving around. Hourds of kids aimlessly roaming the grounds being excessively loud. And i guess there is no quite time. Our neighbors two sites up were up till 2am drinking and arguing about politicts, race and the legalization of heroin. Then about 3 am a few others in another group further down got into a very enraged shouting match...

The one bathhouse all the way in the front of the ground was probably the worst i have seen yet. Aside from outhouses. It was like someone soaked the entire place down with a hose every hour. But missed the floor as it was covered in muddy footprints. One of the three toilets was clogged almost all weekend. And paper towls and toilet paper were always empty except once. We didnt dare shower there...

Like i said these are my observances and experiences. Others may like these kind of things. We don't. I do understand a holiday weekend makes campgrounds a lot more busy. But this just seemed to be too excessive for us.

We will not be visiting Peaceful woodlands...

Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground is a wonderful family owned and operated campground. My first impressions were wonderful, Denise assisted me with my reservation on the phone, she was very kind and polite as she answered all my questions. Upon arrival, I was greeted with kindness and hospitality by 3 ladies, which included Denise and Nicki, who thanked me for my military service and oriented me to all the activities and resources on the campground. These people are so kind, that after realizing I had forgotten to bring the table, Nick allowed me to borrow one of his for the weekend. The campgrounds were very clean and well maintained. There was a band, bingo, an ice cream social, and much more over the course of the weekend. We stayed in one of their new cabins. The cabins and the grounds were very clean and low maintained. The night was quiet peaceful. I highly recommend this wonderful wooded family and pet friendly campground.
