Absolutely the most unpleasant experience of a place to live I can ever remember having, in my humble opinion. When we first got there and showed them the things that were wrong, they said they'd fix them. They also said they would make sure the place was clean when we moved in. They did neither. The swamp cooler had a habit of never working properly. The onsite maintenance tried to fix it, but never to our satisfaction. I asked if I could bring in my window unit A/C but they said no. There was a hole in the bathtub, never got fixed the whole 3 and a half months we lived there. Thee cupboards and utensils were so filthy that when we cleaned the top of one of the cupboards, soot and moths came out, en masse. 3 weeks after we moved in, we decided to use the screen door to sit and enjoy the view. (There were missing Venetian blinds on it that were never replaced.). When we used the screen door, it got stuck and fell off track because it had not been taken care of prior to our move in. When we told the 'managers', they informed us, as did the office, that the tenants must pay for the upkeep! I asked them about the fact that it was a pre existing thing, and their response was that it was unfortunate for me. In the meantime, they had their managers go and get an estimate to replace the screen door! They wanted to charge us 129.00 to replace their broken door! My husband went to the store, bought the piece needed to fix the problem, and fixed it himself. It cost a whole 17.00. The hole in the tub never was fixed, they simply bought a bathtub mat to cover it up. I do have pictures in my cell phone if I ever need them. I also texted them to the management at the office. I will try to upload them later. Honestly, I believe the best part of our stay there, was that it had a pool and a game room. Problem with that was, after we moved in the game room was shut down, allegedly for repairs, and stayed closed the rest of the time we were there, over 3 months. The pool had to get serviced at one point, and we could not swim for over 3 weeks, because they had to drain it, and replace the water. When we did finally move out and cleaned the place before we left, much better than when we moved in, I might add, the manager wrote on a piece of cardboard that everything was clean and there were no damages caused by us. I have a copy of that as well. This is simply my experience. I neither promote, nor degrade, this establishment, neither do I endeavor to persuade or dissuade, I am simply doing my best to report the facts as I, and my husband, experienced them.

We have had more trouble here than anywhere I’ve lived. We moved into the old managers house which looked like a tweaker den that hadn’t been cleaned. Trash in drawers, an oven that was so disgusting we refuse to cook anything in it for health concerns, stairs to my front door that feel like they’re gonna collapse under me or my pregnant wife at any moment, windows that don’t lock or seal and faulty electrical in the park. How faulty? Five to ten times a day I walk to the managers office to flip a breaker on the parks panel (not my house panel) just so we can go back to having 90 degree heat in our house. That’s with both air conditioners running full blast. The best we can ever get is a ten degree difference between outside and inside the house. When the power goes out we are told to turn down our air conditioners to help conserve electricity. Turn it down!? I have a pregnant wife stuck in 90 degree heat all day. would you like me to set the thermostat to 95? Meanwhile the manager has a GIANT air conditioner in her window that she sits directly in front of. This has been going on for four months now. The manager makes a million excuses without ever taking blame for dropping the ball......every day. She admits she works TWO full time jobs and is a full time student. I’m curious if her boss knows she’s never here. We got slapped with a 50 dollar late fee today for rent because she’s never here. This is the third time I’ve updated this review. I’m sure you’ll see under every negative review “management” asks to hear from you. I have called. A BUNCH!!!! Never has a single call been returned. Seems the managers manager is as absent as she is.....or cares even less than her. There’s a lot of wonderful laws that protect tenants from abuse like this. IM VERY FAMILIAR WITH THEM. Either way I invite management to call me or my wife. As in please return the voicemails you’ve been left.

When base housing fell through with their timeline, this was a nice place to lay our heads. From the beginning they (Nick, Stephi & staff) were kind and thoughtful. They brought us over new pillows, blankets and even a portable heater since the temperatures were dropping. We were grateful for the kindness and great military monthly rates. Cheeper than a hotel & it's next to base. Pet friendly, wifi included (extenders help) there's coin laundry on site, a pool, game room, & overall it's a quiet, 'tiny house' community. There's a subway, GNC, DMV & a great convenient store within walking distance (the owner is a super sweet 'Mama-San') with everything you could think of, from cat food, liquor & tailor made sandwiches to greeting cards and boxed chocolates for the misses. You can also walk/run/pt in a square block for exercise. Overall, we had an attitude of gratitude and felt lucky to not be homeless for a few weeks. Thanks Nick and Blue sky crew for making us feel welcome.

I stayed here for about 2 months, but would have stayed longer if I wasn't transferred. Christy, the Manager is extremely responsive, available, and focused on customer satisfaction. The prices are the price is the best around, and includes everything, such as electricity, cable, wifi, water, trash, etc. There are laundry facilities on site. Cost is comparable to on base laundry mat, but this far more convenient. The pool is popular. Its quiet, even though I was near to the pool. The location is close to the base, extremely convenient. Nick is the Maintenance person, and he is competent, and I'd feel safe with him fixing anything in my home, at any time. Christy, the Manager, (in addition to the details previously written), has a very warm and friendly personality, she genuinely cares about the renters, and her leadership makes Blue Skies feel like a warm and welcoming small town community. That's very hard to find these days. Also, one of the few places that allows pets! I've never heard a dog bark while walking through the neighborhood, and it's very clean. My place was clean, and had a brand new, very comfortable queen size bed. Also these monthly rentals, have a low deposit compared to other places, and this organization supports the military and veterans. Ask about the military/veteran rate. You'll be happy you did! In summary, outstanding Manager (did I mention she is available 24/7) and Maintenance, homes are affordable, convenient, clean, pet friendly, and a super great option for military, and contractors...
