I stayed here with 3 kids Saturday November 11th. We arrived around 10 pm exhausted and ready for bed and headed to our 3 rd floor room. Lobby floor and elevator was filthy, so I was concerned right away. We had a 2 queen room and quickly began taking turns getting ready. 1st person in the bathroom reported back that the toilet was dirty and close to overflowing. I called the front desk and was told someone would be right up to fix it. We waited 15 min no one came. Called again, different person who told me the manager went home and they could look at the toilet the following day. Explained that we could not use it and we would need a different room. She said to come down, luckily there was a room on the 3rd floor. Kids started packing up and I got the key. We walked down a couple doors, opened the new room to find only 1 bed. Now we were locked out of the other room, I ran down to the 1st floor, was met with an attitude by the manager and given a new room on the 2nd floor. This whole ordeal took us over an hour, and the kids did not get to bed until almost midnight. The new room was across from the elevator and we heard loud music all night.
I tried unsuccessfully to speak to the manager on 3 different occasions, twice by phone and once through the app chat. Always promised someone would get back to me and no one has. Would never stay here again and so disappointed as a Marriot Bonvoy member. The lack of respect, cleanliness and service...
Read moreIt's hard to rate this hotel. On the one hand their staff is so kind, friendly and just plain helpful. Im sorry I dont remember the night person's name but she's been there 5 years and she's just plain happy as a person, you can tell. Just all smiles. My young grandson loved her. My loss of stars would be the breakfast. The choices were cereal, muffins, fruit, yogurt and a premade egg, sausage and cheese biscuit. My daughter and her husband didnt even bother to come down, they slept in and went to a diner. Usually they make a waffle and I eat scrambled eggs, most hotels serve them. Day 2 I just grabbed a banana and ate at Hershey. The other thing was I wanted to sleep in but some kind of business behind the hotel used a chainsaw at 8am and had trucks beeping as they backed up. I would 100% say dont keep your air on eco, you need the white noise. Other than that, pool was perfect, burger king, wendys, speedway and a campground store with necessities and a place to sit outside and have coffee all in walking distance. 25 mins from hershey, super easy, pretty drive. Get to hershey at 10, dry rides only open, they let you in without question even if you dont have an early pass. Water rides dont...
Read moreOverall our stay was great. The room was nice. The staff was friendly. Upon our arrival we were able to get checked in quickly. We did take advantage of the mobile check-in so that made things easier. Unfortunately there was absolutely no parking available. There were a few large trucks and trailers taking up multiple spots. We brought this to the staffs attention and were told we could park at the subway or the burger king as the property was owned by the same company. I personally don't like parking my vehicle overnight in a lot where I can't see it or even have it in the hotel parking area, but we had no other choice after driving all day. Breakfast was plentiful, we arrived a little after 9am and breakfast was until 10am. The lady on duty was continuously stocking breakfast foods. They did run out of cream for coffee and did not replace it for some reason even when asked which was a bummer. Milk and soy milk were available. We did not use the indoor pool but there was one available. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the shower head was great! We heard no noise until morning and even then very little considering we were right outside...
