I really wish that this review was a positive one but unfortunately my experience from after check in until check out was not good and definitely didn’t live up to the Hilton standard I’ve grown accustomed to over the course of the years. Check in was good, the young lady on duty was accommodating and friendly but for me that is where my good experience ended. Upon arrival to our room the sofa in the living room had stains on it The room was supposed to accommodate 6 but the cabinets lacked enough silverware, plates, bowls, and cups On Saturday morning we left our dirty towels on the floor to be replaced (kept the ones we wanted to reuse hanging up) when we arrived back to the hotel from Dorney Park, we couldn’t even shower because we realized that the same dirty towels we placed on the floor was the ones that was re-rolled up and placed back as if they was new towels... there was bugs in our room After showering the smoke alarm went off due to showering, front desk called and basically said don’t open any door it will turn off it happens all the time in this room... who wants to deal with a alarm blazing for 5 minutes after every shower, not only that we was there with an autistic child who is triggered by loud noises There was a guy who worked the breakfast area that wasn’t pleasant at all... I don’t know if this is his everyday demeanor or if it was because I was African American and I had the audacity to speak to him; my 10 year old daughter was having a hard time locating the butter, so as he was walking by I stopped him and asked him if he can provide her with some butter, he walked over to the butter dish, looked at it and walked back towards the back area assuming it was the kitchen and talked over his shoulder with a nasty attitude “it’s over there”... I was inclined to react but like I said my 10 year old daughter was right there. The appearance of the staff to me was one that lacked the pride they should have felt being a Hilton employee; wrinkled and stained uniforms, untucked shirts, etc... Last but definitely not least and honestly this should be number 1... I checked into my room on 8/9/19 and that night my niece and her friend decided they wanted to hang around the hotel which I had no issues with. My issue is that they never made it back to our room which was 229. Which we took up that issue with them; they said that the door was locked which we know to be not true. Apparently they made friends with the manager on duty Daquan (not sure of the spelling) and sent me a video at 4:45am on 8/10/19 saying how they made friends with a manager and he gave them a free room (room 215) From a parental perspective there is a lot that was wrong with this picture. Never was we contacted to be told they was locked out; cell phones or room phone was never called. The manager never attempted to try to let them in the room 2 teenagers with no ID given a room by a grown man makes me question if this was the first and then of course my mind wanders to the extreme and thank God this did not occur but I don’t know what his intentions were but they could have very well been sleeping and he could have went in the room and had his way, invited others in and this situation could have been a lot worst than me spelling out this complaint. I am not the type of person who writes negative reviews without it being warranted... I didn’t want to be one of those guest that nitpicked about every little thing that wasn’t to my liking; which with issues 1-7 I didn’t bother to bring to the attention of the staff and my final issue I waited until the last day because I was unsure how I wanted to handle the situation. I paid $400+ dollars for my room to be able to sleep my family comfortably not for my teenagers to be given free stays when in reality they already had a free stay...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel on 8/9/2020 and 8/10/2020. I have stayed at this hotel several time in the past and each time is worse than the other. It's extremely convenient to Kid's Peace which is also why I stay here. First let me say that I have worked for Hilton hotels for numerous years in the past, including the Homewood Suites in Springfield Virginia. I am also a Hilton Honors Gold member. With that being said, I know that as a Gold member I receive two free waters and a snack. Each time I stay at this hotel I have never been asked by the front desk agent did I want my snack and water for being a HH member. Furthermore, I am never greeted with a smile, but simply a dry hello as though I was bothering her. On 8/10/2020, I checked out of my room and left a box full of facial products for my 17 year old. The boxes were in an Amazon Prime box and some of the had not been opened or used. I had my son call the hotel about 20 minutes after we left to ask if they had turned the products in and the front desk agent told him that nothing was turned in. I then called the hotel and spoke to that same agent and she said that nothing was turned in and the she asked the housekeep and there was not box at all. During that day I ended up having car trouble and had to get a tow. I had to check back into the hotel because my car was not able to be fixed until the next day. Again, I was greeted by the same front desk agent that checked me in the previous day. Again, no smile or not HH snacks, even though the guest who checked in immediately after me was offered snacks. This was the same lady that my son and I talked to earlier during the day. I asked her again about the box full of facial products that was left in my room (205). Again, she told me nothing was turned in. I called Hilton Corporate to make a complaint and within 10 minutes the from desk agent is calling me telling me that the Housekeeper now remembered that she had thrown the box in the trash. The front desk agent then proceeds to tell me that she retrieved the items from the trash. When I went to retrieve the items half the items were missing including brand new items that had never been opened. When I told the agent that there were a lot of missing items she told me that was all that was found. I asked her could I look in the trash myself because those items were brand new and expensive. When I looked in the trash that was emptied from my room, they left the empty boxes in the trash with no facial products. I then had to print out all the items that were missing and give them to the front desk agent for her report. This hotel is dishonest and had I not had car trouble and had to check back into this hotel, they would still to this day say that they had never found any facial products.
Also, the front desk agent told me that the housekeeper stated the box was in the trash when she found it in my room. Keep in mind they denied ever seeing anything until about 5 hours later when I called Hilton Corporate complaint center and after I had come back to the hotel a...
Read moreThis was a great location, close to a lot of stores and quick food spots. The hotel itself was nice! Just like every other business during this time, the hotel was short staffed and it showed. But again, it was expected and could have been a lot worse. The staff they did have was doing great. It had a half basketball court, but you have to bring your own ball. 2 outfit grills for use, for come first serve. The rooms themselves were spacious, well decorated and clean. Linens were clean and fresh, as were towels. Loved the kitchenette and full fridge in the room. Weis grocery was only 2 miles away and it was nice to cook in the room especially since the complementary breakfast was lacking. Only cereals, yogurts, bagels and pre-made jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches which were either still frozen or burnt. Some pots pans and dinnerware were in the room for meals along with a dishwasher which was awesome. Family members also were at the same hotel and in 3 other rooms which were just as nice. Only con was the showers, which made me feel like the breakfast sandwiches, either burnt or frozen with the water temperature. Couldnt say cleanliness was the same for the main hotel. Main lobby wasn't mopped the entire time we were there. There was a spot on the ground that I jokingly said looked like blood when we checked in Friday, was still there when we checked out Sunday. The pool was cloudy and way over chlorinated. Again, when we went swimming Friday, a family left a hotel towel on one of the chairs. When we went swimming before check out Sunday, same towel, same chair. Hallway carpets were very stained. I'm pretty sure upon check in we were told room service wasn't available and we thought they meant food but then realized they meant cleaning. All rooms left their trash and cans in the halls to be picked up in the mornings. Wasn't visually pleasing, again I'm sure all of this is due to the short staffing but still leaves an impression. Regardless, if we were ever in need of a hotel in that area again, we wouldn't hesitate...
