My recent stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites Allentown West was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a wonderful experience.
The lobby's modern and inviting ambiance provided the perfect space to relax and catch up on work or unwind after a busy day. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff providing helpful information about the hotel's amenities and the nearby Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom.
The room was immaculate and well-appointed, offering a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, including complimentary toiletries, a mini-fridge, and a microwave, adding convenience to my stay. The complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, making it easy to stay connected during my trip.
What impressed me most was the delightful complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. The selection was diverse, with fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, and hot items like eggs and sausages to choose from. It was the perfect way to kickstart each day and provided the energy needed for my daily activities.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites Allentown West also knows how to cater to families. The kids were overjoyed with the hot breakfast options, and the friendly staff made sure they felt welcome and happy. And the highlight for them was undoubtedly the pool area, complete with a fantastic waterslide. It provided endless fun and excitement as they splashed around and raced down the slide. The pool itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a safe environment for families to enjoy quality time together.
The hotel's location was also perfect for families visiting Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, as it offers easy access to major highways and is just a short drive away from these exciting attractions.
Overall, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Allentown West exceeded my expectations. The attentive staff, well-appointed rooms, delicious breakfast, and its proximity to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom make it a perfect choice for families and individuals alike. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable stay near the thrilling adventures of Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. It's certainly at the top of my list for future visits...
Read moreWe (2 adults, 2 kids) have stayed at this location before back in April 2024, and the great front desk customer service, the cleanliness, and pool with a water slide is what brought us back. Yet this time around, it seemed that the few front desk interactions we had seemed "cold" and cut short. We stayed for 3 nights, Nov 2024, from Friday to Monday, and let me say that the breakfast staff are so kind and welcoming and kept everything stocked and clean. Now, our check-in was quick and the first 'cold' interaction. We were the only ones in the lobby at 8 pm and 7yo son was very excited telling the employee that he recognized the hotel and that "he loved Fairfield" he knew there was a slide at this hotel..she didn't even smiled back. I repeated what he said in case she didn't understand him as he was talking so fast to what she just said, "hum." Right there, I knew she wanted to be done checking us in, and it made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. I addressed my son and told him that she was busy and that she knew he was happy. The next day I asked to be let in into the pool area and before I finished talking the front desk lady cut me short before I could finish my sentence and asked if I had filled the form (this hotel has you sign a waver). On Sunday, around noon I went to the front desk to ask if I could have late check out the next day, I am a Gold elite member and based on availability can have up to a 2pm late check out, again the lady cut me short as soon as she heard the word "late", and without looking up my account or anything said "no, we don't have any" I continued and said my room number and that I wanted to see if a 1pm late chekout was available, that's when, I guess she look at my account and told me she could do 12 pm. She said, "we are extremely busy on Mondays." I told her I would take it and thanked her. I'm not sure what happened this time around, but the service from the front desk was nowhere near what we had experienced back in April. Back then, everyone was kind, warm, and attentive. This time, we felt like we were bothering or a nuisance. When we left on Monday there were only my car and two others in the parking lot, and no one in the breakfast area when we went down at 8:30 am. The room was clean. Housekeepers are friendly, and the pool and...
Read moreThe lady at the front desk was very nice and tried to help me get the mobile key card but even though it said it was working in her computer it never worked on my iPhone. We asked her for extra pillows and she said we should have plenty in our room. She seemed a bit annoyed that we asked her but then she smiled, got the pillows and ask if there is anything else we needed so I felt like she was trying to be professional even if she was getting annoyed. The next day the manager on duty was just as nice and professional.
Breakfast was great. There was plenty of food. They kept it well-stocked.
The rooms were very clean and everything was nice but that’s to be expected since it was just recently renovated from what I read.
Even though the pool says it is heated it still was a bit cold for us. There is a section of the pool that is a jacuzzi in the corner but someone else was using it so we didn’t get to try it out. They have a separate waterslide for kids which is nice. They provide towels at the pool but they were very rough.
The fitness room is small but nice.
They have options for Netflix and Hulu on the TV if you have an account but we don’t. We did not find very many regular TV channels that we are used to watching so we didn’t really like the TV channel selection.
Internet was OK. I was able to get online when I needed to but several times my husband was not able to use his iPad online even though he were supposedly logged in.
My mom did not like using the room key. At first we did not even know how to. We tried moving the card in different directions and placing it closer or farther away. There is no slot to just put it in like usual. Another guest that was staying there tried to show us how to use it and he didn’t really know either because it wasn’t working for him but we eventually figured it out. I think whoever checks you in should show you how the key cards work and not just assume that everyone will know since there is no slot to put it in.
The beds and furniture all seemed lower than normal. I am not short but I like that. The bed seemed a bit hard to me but still comfortable.
My son will be attending Kutztown University so we will be planning to stay here...
