When you exit the frontage road is way south of the interstate. Turn in when you see subway and drive straight back to check in. As you first arrive, you will see the Casino. They have 2 types of cabins, the motel and an RV park. The cabins are a 1 bedroom and a studio. I chose the studio. This is about the size of my studio apartment so guessing around 400 sq ft. Cannot verify that now.
There is a Barbecue grill outside with utensil. Will take a photo tomorrow morning.
It’s really clean. I’ll let y’all know if the water smells bad as one poster stated in a previous review. I am renting this for $400 for a week so I’m pleased with the price. A room runs about $100 per night, so it’s a nice savings. This location has a standard motel room air conditioner heater system.
No smoking indoors but they i courage us to bring a chair to put on the porch for our comfort. I will take one of these in here and place on the porch to smoke, movingvin sndboutvof doors.
I’m curious about the mosquito issue. I’ll fill you in on that. I need to grab my mosquito electronic gadget which I bought at Walmart for 15 dollars or so. They take one battery. I use to play with the bugs that stay on top of the water here when we fished weekly. I know those work because the bugs would divide wherever I placed that gadget, above the water. Lol.
This location is pet friendly for $20 a day. I may bring my pup over have not decided. There is a nice pond with fence all the way around it and a sign posted that gators have been spotted in the pond do no swimming.
There is an outdoor swimming pool which is open.
They offer breakfast in the morning and have drink stations open 24 hours a day including yogurt, looks like a drink and even cappuccino. Again I will take pics of those in the morning and add them to the photo section.
Patricia booked the room for me this morning and April checked me in this evening. Both were really nice ladies. I’ve yet to meet Patricia but will tomorrow if she is working. On to the pics. Cannot attach them to this review so I will add them in the photo section. Come on google, fix this for us guides. How can we show or talk about something without our photos being attached?
I took pics first from standing at the door, turning slightly so you see the layout. Next I get closer to amenities, opening closets and doors do you know what is or is not included and you can prepare for your enjoyable stay. Smile Thanks for reading. If I’ve helped you give a thumbs up or something. I take time out of my trips to inform and show y’all what I see or notice.
Ps there is an ironing board but no iron, someone must...
Read moreRevolting stench. Purely just STANK. Walking into the hotel you see the casino carpet what comes to mind is cigarette smoke, the air in the hallway smelled quite fresh. BUT once that hotel door opened I was hit in the face with the most offensive smell. It was like walking into an old folks home, with grandmas overly florally purfume. Musty with hint of cocoa butter with almost an essence of urine, but not quite if that makes any "scents". Seems like there's just an overpowering old bad smell and they tried to cover it with expired cheap perfume. I had no air fresheners on me, so I brewed the bathroom coffee, maybe the smell of coffee would help..it didn't! (Please do not drink their bathroom coffee) they leave the compartment open where you pour the water in and put the coffee pods and sugar packets inside it while all the dust and "restroom particles" get inside the machine. I do not normally complain like this, but my soul was purely offended. After a while you get used to it, but I couldn't. I slept with a coffee packet taped to my forehead so I could ignore horrid smell. Other than that everything else seemed fine. But after having to deal with the scent I couldn't help but sketched out about the cleanliness of the room. So I just felt grossed out and uncomfortable. If you have a deviated septum then the room might not bother you. Upon checking in the receptionist said an additional $16 is due. My spouse asked what it was for and that shes going to use her western union gift card, and he said he doesn't think that it would work. Why wouldn't it not work? They even sent an email how to process the gift card. My spouse said she thinks she paid $97 dollars, then he said ok you owe $4, she said ok what is the charge for? She's still going to use her gift card, there's $7 on it. Then he said nevermind and we still don't know what that charge was for even though we booked the room online. Just seemed kind of shady. Safe to say we will not be coming back to...
Read moreAccessibility to the hotel is a little tricky as there are so many roads but if you drive until you see the gas station...you can enter there. Once in the lot drive back to the little strip mall and thats where the entrance to the hotel is. You can see the pool from the entrance, which isn't very big. It does have a small casino attached which smells heavily of smoke.
In the strip mall there is a billiard (21+ only), Subway and a Hunt Brothers Pizza. We got dinner and then went into the casino for 2 small daiquiris and 2 jello shots which cost $17. They weren't very strong but did taste good.
The room was nice and cold when we arrived. It did have a faint smell of smoke but it quickly went away. They did use some kind of scent to mask it which was strong.. Beds were nice and comfy. Restroom was big and spacious. The heat fan is on all the time the light is on.
Breakfast was ok. It was a small hotel so breakfast wasn't much. They had the waffle machine but either it was hot or set high because my waffle was a little more cooked than usual. They had eggs, sausage, tortillas, biscuits with gravy, juice, coffee, yogurt, cereal and breads. We have been on the road for almost 3 weeks so I think I was tired of the same type of breakfast. It was hot and full and I could smell it from my room in the morning.
The juice machine wasn't working when we ate but as we left they had someone working on it.
For the price, this place is worth it. It is quiet and even though there were many people there, we didn't hear anything from another room or hallway.
There is a gas station a few feet away and across the road is a place...
