My daughter and I went out of town for a mini girls vacation overnight. She is ten years old and she has a new 6 month old brother, so this was important time together for us. We rented out the Kimono suite and were told that our room would be ready at 2 pm. We arrived around 2:30 pm. We entered the room and found a piece of pepperoni laying by the bed, an earring back on the ground, urine on the toilet seat, and an unidentified substance on the sheets and nightstand. We called the front desk and were told we would need to leave the room for 2-3 hours, while they attempted to have a housekeeper come back. We left and ate dinner and came back about 3 1/2 hours later. They did vacuum and change the bed sheets, however the nightstand still had something gross on it. I just cleaned this myself, as well as the toilet that was still left with urine. I chalked it up as a crappy experience and moved on with the night. In the morning, I checked out and asked the manager what sort of compensation we would be receiving and he said "I guess I can take twenty dollars off" to which I sarcastically replied, "well, aren't you generous". Twenty dollars off for a filthy room? He proceeds to say, "well, then I won't give you anything off" and I told him to not run my card, because I don't agree to what he is saying. He told me "too bad" and ran my card anyway. I was furious and had to contact the police office and my credit card company. I am pursuing fraud against the company. The staff apparently found this all to be funny and was laughing the entire time. The manager walked away from me when I said I don't agree to the charges and I won't be signing anything. He said, "Fine, do what you want to do". It was appalling to be treated like this in front of my daughter and a lobby full of guests. If you want a filthy room and to be treated like a lesser class citizen then this hotel is for you! Steve Johnson is the assistant manager and claims there is no corporate or manager above him. He clearly was avoiding having anyone find out about how...
Read moreWould not recommend. We booked months in advance. The hotel booked out about 1-2 months before our wedding. When we arrived, our room's jacuzzi was being replaced, something we should have known about well before our visit, since the staff said it had been down for a while. We had a small compensation for that but compared to the rates, it was about 5-10%. With being totally booked, they offered to move us tomorrow but being as we would be at our wedding, that wasn't an option. The pool hottub was an option but from a romantic perspective, not pleasing.
The shower wasn't any better. Felt like being sprayed with a pressure washer. It was intense and getting hit in any sensitive areas was painful!!
The charging block doesn't work in the room next to the bed, make sure to plug in to a wall and have a wall charger for any phones and accessories.
Staff started vacuuming in the main lobby a few minutes before 10pm and kept vacuuming well after. We were lucky to have a 2nd set of doors to help block the sound. Laundry directly below and running constantly, doors open/close, high pitch whirring that even light music couldn't drown out. Not a pleasant experience for pre wedding night!
Not certain if the bed was just uncomfortable or a combination of all the laundry noises, but it was hard to fall, stay, and get back to sleep. I had better luck just laying flat on the floor.
Bring your own shampoo/conditioner/soap. The bottles are small, compared to a thin lipstick tube or maybe chapstick. Which is fine if you have little to no hair.
Train tracks nearby, and just off the highway both give noise - so be prepared.
👍 On a nice note - the pool area has some pool balls for the...
Read moreFrom check in to check out was great! I don’t typically write reviews but read a lot of them! ;) We stayed here this past weekend for a wedding. For starters, our aunt blocked the rooms. We get there and it wasn’t in her name but the check in gal was very understanding as we went through all the names it could be reserved under. There were fresh cookies to enjoy while you waited to check in. We got to our room, so clean! My husband travels for work all week long. He was so impressed with how clean this hotel was. We had rooms next to each other and we had “excited” kids. We couldn’t hear noise on either side of us. It’s solid! The kids got to swim and loved every minute! They did say the pool was a little cold; I thought it felt great. Breakfast was more than expected. Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, bagels, biscuits and gravy; just to start. The whole staff said “good morning” with the most sincere smiles! The lobby has many fun things for sale. Our family enjoyed the fire place and couches while we had coffee! The outside is just as clean as the hotel. They have the outside decorated for fall! It was just homey!! I’m guessing this will be a yearly trip as it’s half way for our family! Highly...
