With only 26 campsites, this campground is nearly always full. Definitely reserve a site. The campground was renovated a few years ago and the campsites upgraded with new tables on concrete pads and leveled tent sites with a sand base. Restrooms are pit toilets but are kept clean and stocked by the camp host. Water is available near the toilets.| The campground is conveniently located near the Tahoe Rim Trail (Mt. Rose Trailhead) and the Tahoe Meadows where miles of trails ranging for an accessible interpretive trail to moderate/difficult trails to Marlette Lake or Relay Peak.| View of the sky at night is spectacular with no...
Read moreThis is a great small campground with quick access to the Mount Rose trailhead and a short drive to Lake Tahoe. Many other hikes, swimming, or other outdoor options nearby too. The picnic tables and campfire pits are good quality, and some sites have cement pads around the fire pit. There are bear boxes for food at each site too. There are no showers but the bathrooms are well maintained and always stocked with TP. The camp host was kind and welcoming. I will definitely return...

I hope they are doing well and that I see them again in the Fall of...
