Bathrooms had brown on walls, spiders all over bathrooms, no soap. If you think it will be private because it has a locking gate you are wrong, people constantly walking through. Even had someone drive their truck and trailer through all the sites shinning their flashlight in everyone's tents. Broken windows I the bathroom and attached room. Was told the bathroom and building was part of the rental however was not told that anyone has the right to walk into the building at anytime and use the bathrooms that in the rental says we needed to clean the toilets. Was very pretty scenery was the only upside to constantly being disturbed by people after renting the group site with a locked gate. So if you don't mind people walking through your group sites all day and cleaning toilets after random strangers then this is the site for you. Good luck. We will never be going back. Oh and ps poison oak too.

This is a beautiful place that's perfect for day hikes. It has some camping spots, but no proper Hiker-Biker camping spaces. For the money they charge me and my bike to Camp (same as a car), it seems that it was not being cared for sufficiently: i.e. restrooms out of order, porta potties overflowing, the only garbage was at the bottom of the hill (a 1/2 mile away from our campsite), bramble and branches intruding on the camping space that need some maintenance, and no showers. (Later I learned that it had been a very stormy winter, which left a lot of debris. Several crew had worked very hard to clear it as much as it was when I stayed there. ) Overall, I would recommend it for its serenity and beautiful greenery, and it was a very good place to rest before continuing my ride along the old scenic Columbia Highway Route.

Really cool area with pretty neat history. Off the freeway, you take a left... the individual sites are to the right. You have to reserve and pay for the group campground, so if you go wandering up there, don't be surprised if you're asked to leave. Every time we go, it seems like there's someone who gets curious and pops in. Just a heads up is all. The host is really really nice but they were sure to let us know when we weren't abiding by the rules. Which is good. So no shenanigans!Such a beautiful place though! Oh yeah, watch out for the poison oak! Also, if you're on the West side of the site you can hear the freeway traffic on I-84 pretty good.

I spent a couple of nights in Lot 9 in Aug 2016 when the surrounding areas had temperatures over 100 degrees. Despite it, our campsite stayed relatively cool because of the trees and had a light but constant breeze at night due to the way the campground was situated between the gorge to the North and the mountains to the South. The hosts kept the ground immaculately clean, and each site had ample space with privacy (perhaps except for Lot 2 and 17 -- closest sites to the bathroom and the dumpster; nonetheless no foul smell whatsoever). Although there are no electric outlets, the well kept bathroom has flushed toilets. This campground is probably one of the cleanest ones (regardless of age) I have been to, thanks to all the hard work the hosts put in. This is a great campground for those who would like to explore nearby hiking trails, Bonneville Dam, and Cascade...
