Watonga Motel — Hotel in Watonga

I have stayed at The Watonga Motel on more than one occasion. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of with friendly and professional service. The rooms are immaculate. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's very comfortable and I have stayed there in Summer and Winter and it doesn't matter what the season....the temperature in the rooms is always what you need it to be. There is always plenty of hot water which is a plus. They have very comfortable beds and large color t.v.'s, refrigerator and microwave which is a great convenience and we had excellent service. Alvin and Anita are very personable and I don't think you would find any large hotel or motel that could compare with their service or friendliness.. Watonga is very lucky to have such a great couple in business as it will draw a lot of people that will always come back to a great Motel and a caring and...

We did not expect to stay in Watonga. Our car suddenly began making dreadful noises just after sunset, and it was dark when we screeched and ground our way into town. This motel looked like our only choice for the night.||Imagine our relief when we found a clean and spacious room. It was almost a suite, with a separate dining area. We got a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed.||It's easier to make good decisions about what to do, when you are rested and fed. The next day, we ended up calling a tow truck, and riding in its cab all the way back to Tulsa. Our auto repair place was able to make the small (but vital) repair quickly and inexpensively. A week or two later, State Farm reimbursed us for the towing. Travel glitches become adventures, especially when you have discovered friendly innkeepers...

Didn't know was going to need a room until 1 hour before sunset when was asked if I would stick around until next morning. I started checking reviews near where I was at near Canton OK. The Watonga Motel came up with very good reviews. I called to check room availability then started the 26 miles that way. They had put me in a large comfortable room but I asked if they had a cheaper one. They did have across the street, older, smaller, but the shower was hot, the bed was comfortable to sleep in. Older tv, small refrigerator, small table with 2 chairs, it fit my needs perfectly for a night and the price was .35 less than my allowance for a room. I kept their card for the next time in area.
