We have never visited Trinity Alps and were very excited to find a RV park with full hookups for us to stay at. I spoke to Redbud on the phone and she described the place to me and it sounded fairly decent. I was not able to find any pictures of the actual RV part of the park for some reason (should have been a clue #1). The website and most pictures show the cabins, the pool and the nearby lake. Those are the nice parts of the park, especially the proximity to a mountain lake and having a pool to cool off in. However, the RV park itself is more or less a home to many permanent residents who live in mobile homes and older RV's with lots of tarps, junk, toys, barking dogs and make it look and feel very trashy. The narrow 1 lane dusty path to the park is set up for smaller motorhomes, not a 32 foot 5th wheel. I was told they had spots large enough for us, which thankfully worked out, but getting in and out was very tight and scary. From our campsite we had the view of a large garbage bin and the workers' shed with lots of junk around. Not the view one expects on their vacation. The constant dust and noise from the worker driving his ATV up and down the path was not good either. It's really sad that this place is like this, because the location is really lovely, but it is more or less a home for those who live in trailers and mobile homes with their belongings spread around their area.
The office is not staffed most of the day as other parks, so they have this clever system of using the walkie talkie to call a staff member. You can't just drop by the little store or play ping pong because everything is locked up. Someone is there in the middle of the day, but not on Sundays and there is no cell phone service so calling is not an option.
I can see that the cabins are wonderful for groups and families to stay in and enjoy the mountains, but unfortunately the RV park is probably the worst one we ever stayed at and we travel all the time. Needles to say, I will be more diligent with my research in the future and will not be coming back to...

There's something about the clean air and tranquil atmosphere that just lulls you into the most peaceful slumber. And waking up to the serene views of the lake? It's the stuff of dreams.
Beyond the cabins and the scenery, what truly sets this place apart is the staff. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Ryan, the owner, is an absolute gem—his dedication to ensuring every guest has an extraordinary experience is evident in every interaction. He takes pride is making sure all guests are treated well and has plans for all seasons that include: boat rentals to music festivals. There is something always happening at the gorgeous Lakeview Terrace Resort in all seasons.

Read moreThis property is under NEW management with a sincere interest in bringing this old resort back to life....In May, 2018, my sons and I rented a cabin for the night right after the grand opening. A little history. This resort was originally a "camp" for Dam workers back when. It is across the street from Trinity River and down river from a pretty impressive dam. There are multiple boat launches along this road. The resort has water access rights across the road. ||||The inground pool is fully functional now. There are playgrounds, walking trails, decent paved roads to the cabins and RV spots. There are primitive spots. Daily, overnight, and monthly RV spots. Some RV spots have decks overlooking the valley. Black Tail Deer are EVERYWHERE. It adds a country touch. They have little fear of humans. ||||The cabin was a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom with living room and kitchen. It was modest, but clean, and neat. It has window units that were adequate for cooling. Personally, I slept with the windows open to catch cool night air. I was hoping to hear coyotes sing or owls hooting, but that did not happen. Trust me, they should be there. When the season is right bald eagles are everywhere. The mountain ranges are impressive. The lodge pole pines are towering. The water is crystal clear. This area is some of the most beautiful American land ANYWHERE. ||||Office is well run. This is a family owned and operated organization. They live on site. Although the office was not open 24 hours, you can contact them at the park at their cabin. ||||I know this place has had some really bad reviews in the past, BUT give this resort another try and help these folks bring this place back. They are investing a lot of blood, sweat, tears, time, and money to make this a nice place for family...||||By the way, ask to rent cabin 16. Its haunted....
