After a disappointing start to our camping trip at another local campground (looking at you, Douglas Forest 👀), we ended up at Indian Ranch Campground—and wow… what a blessing in disguise. Honestly, it turned our entire vacation around.
From the moment we arrived, we could feel the energy shift. The staff was welcoming, the grounds were clean and well-kept, and there was a buzz of excitement in the air. We didn’t just find a place to park our rig—we found a whole vibe.
🎸 The Concerts: This place isn’t just a campground—it’s a live music experience. Being able to walk from our site to see national acts playing right on the shores of the lake? Unreal. The sound, the crowd, the energy—top tier.
🏊♂️ The Pool: Clean, relaxing, and a great place to cool off. Not overcrowded, and just the right amount of social without being wild.
🏞 The Lake: Webster Lake is a gem. Whether you're just enjoying the view, dipping your toes in, or taking a boat ride, it’s the kind of setting that makes you forget your stress exists.
🍔 The On-Site Restaurant: Legit food. Real portions. Cold drinks. And you don’t even have to unhook your rig or deal with cooking in the heat. Sit back, eat well, and enjoy the view.
🛺 Golf Cart Rentals: YES. Do it. Makes everything more fun and more convenient—plus, let’s be honest, zipping around camp in a cart adds to the whole experience.
🤝 The Camaraderie: Everyone we met—campers, staff, even concertgoers—was friendly, laid back, and just there to have a good time. It felt like a real community. We were only there for a few days but made connections we’ll keep for a long time.
And here’s the kicker: the only good thing about Douglas Forest RV Resort is that it forced us to leave—and stumble into one of the best campground experiences we’ve ever had. No exaggeration.

Read moreI did not enjoy my experience at Indian Ranch due to the fact that when I bought my tickets for a particular concert...we made sure that this section was handicapped friendly. (my husband and I went for a concert and he needed his wheelchair) When we got there...due to the configuration of the lighting for the performer...our seats were not available. Now up to this point, its completely understandable...artist reconfigures stage...you make accommodations. However I find it hard to believe that this type of thing never happened before. This is where my frustration began...my husband and I got bounced around from place to place...even was told to sit in the general seating area...when I bought SEAT tickets! We ended up in a place where people kept walking in front of us to go get drinks or go to the bathroom. We constantly got interrupted. Again, I find it hard to believe that this type of thing has never happened before in the history of Indian Ranch and the security team or staff members do not have a contingently plan to put people who use a wheelchair in a place where they are also able to enjoy the show instead of being bounced around until someone decides not to show up...
Read moreI have been to this venue to see the Mavericks. I recently saw them here, and they sounded amazing, as usual. I love that it is an open air venue, BUT as a handicapped individual, I wish Indian Ranch would improve the handicapped seating section. The fold down seats themselves are so low to the ground, very uncomfortable even sitting on the pillow I brought. They are lower than ADA minimum of 16". Also, from the handicapped seating section, between people standing in seats in orchestra section & the constant flow of people walking by, I couldn't see the band. I can't stand for more than a few minutes without pain. If the HC section was raised or re-located to the front or side stage, like other venues, the disabled person could SEE the show. I would love for an employee of Indian ranch to sit in one of the HC section chairs, during a show to see what it is like. My seat was the seat closest to the aisle. Several times my left prosthetic leg was accidentally & painfully kicked by the constant flow of people walking up the aisle. Please find a way to make the concert experience as good for handicapped people as it is for people who are able to stand & see the...
