My husband and I thought we would try this place since Mama's was closed. I had the homemade hash with a blueberry pancake. My husband had an Irish with the homemade hash. The hash was disgusting. My pieces of corned beef were grizzly, fatty and greasy. Every single piece! Even the little pieces. Big pieces of potatoes and raw chopped peppers. I didn't have my glasses on and I thought they were scallions. I wouldn't have ordered that had I known there were peppers in it. I've never had hash with peppers and both of us love homemade hash, but obviously not here. Maybe it was a low grade corned beef or something. My husband's dish came with home fries which were deep fried. They put the hash on one side with the big real potatoes, greasy, fatty meat and peppers, then put their "homefries" on the other side of the plate. Had he known that dish came with fried home fries, he would have said no thanks . A person can only eat so much potatoes. The waitress was friendly and took our order. She could have let my husband know about the extra potatoes. It was just a waste. The blueberry pancake was good but there was no real Maple syrup. I don't believe we'll be going back. Maybe the other things on the menu are good, the place was full. Our biggest complaint about the hash was the greasy, fatty, grizzly, meat and the inconsistent portions and sizes of the meat. It really wasn't about the raw peppers because I could pull those out myself. There were no onions in either of our hashes. For $40 for breakfast it should have been...
Read moreFoods great this one waitress took the syrup without notice and then handed me a box and basically told me I was done before I could say anything even shoveled my own food into a box to make it faster and raised the prices on the check but not the menu Edit: felt rushed? Ah so I see it's my fault after I get my food the condiments are removed from only my table and my drink without notice then 5 minutes later my plate is grabbed from me thumb in my eggs dumped into a box and a check thrown at me glad to know that's my fault not to mention I've heard the same person who did that to me has been fat phobic and refused to serve above average people so good luck with your business and good day Reply to your edit: yeah there are other places in town with better service, better quality assurance without forcing your customer out within 20 minutes that's why I haven't returned in the way you handle criticism is personally my favorite part of this whole thing glad to know it's not about your customers experience in your restaurant and what they've experience all that matter is if your getting paid by jacking your prices and then also being hostile instead of actually taking a notice of someone rushing people out and putting their hand in their food you'd do something but no like you said "THERE ARE OTHER RESTAURANTS IN TOWN" several better I bid you goodbye don't expect decent people to enjoy terrible...
Read moreFirst impression was great, nice place and the woman who brought us menus was pleasant.
Then a FORTY FIVE MINUTE WAIT to get food. No one checked in even once in the meantime. No coffee refresh, no water refill, etc. The cherry on top is a customer came in at least twenty minutes after us, was greeted and referred to as 'hey neighbor" and got his food at least ten minutes before us. Just atrocious. Don't get me started on the $12 meatlovers burrito. It was delicious but tiny and came with nothing such as home fries. Big belly my butt!!
No one ever even checked in as we ate to ask how the food was.... he placed the check down and said 'no rush' and never said another word to us as he processed payment.
The reviews are great and the name is fun but the experience was anything but. I would understand the busy Saturday logic but even then 45 minutes for breakfast food is incredible and to see an alleged friend get their food in well under half the time does not sit well.
It is difficult to see a future return which is a shame as breakfast is the best meal of the day and typically more affordable than...
